Kim Soo Hyun And Sulli Reveal How They Prepared For Their Characters In “Real”

During the press conference for their upcoming movie “Real,” Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli explained how they had prepared for their roles in the film.

Kim Soo Hyun shared that he had learned boxing in order to get ready for his action scenes. He talked about his long-awaited return to the big screen, saying, “I kept thinking of the script after I had read it. I’m nervous about taking on a new challenge but I’m also pretty excited.”

Sulli, who is playing the role of a rehabilitation therapist named Song Yoo Hwa, revealed that she had visited actual rehabilitation therapists at the hospital to observe the way they treated patients.

Sung Dong Il Says Working With Kim Soo Hyun On “Real” Was A Dream Come True

Sung Dong Il relayed how much he had wanted to work with actor Kim Soo Hyun.

On May 31, Kim Soo Hyun, Sung Dong Il, and Sulli attended a showcase for the movie “Real.” In the movie, Sung Dong Il plays the role of Jo Won Geun, the antagonist who is after Kim Soo Hyun’s casino.

During the conference, Sung Dong Il revealed, “After I read the description for ‘Real,’ I asked who else would be in it. They told me Kim Soo Hyun. I said I would do it right away.”

He added with a smile, “I wanted to work with Kim Soo Hyun before I got any older. I wanted to shoot a movie with him and my dream came true. Kim Soo Hyun even came up to me first on the set and said hello.”

He explained, “What’s important is that I really wanted to work with Kim Soo Hyun and my character is one that I’ve never played before. The director told me that he wanted to try doing something that’s cool and not funny, so I chose to do it.”

The movie “Real” is a noir film that centers on two men and their secrets and conspiracies around Asia’s largest casino. The film is slated to be released in June.
