INFINITE’s Woohyun's shoulder injury at ISAC is beyond recovery

INFINITE‘s Woohyun shared some bad news about his left shoulder with his fans on his V Live stream.

Woohyun recently broadcast a live stream on INFINITE’s V Live channel, where he informed his fans that his shoulder was completely ruined due to an injury he sustained in 2014.


At the 2014 Idol Star Athletics Championships, Woohyun injured his shoulder while playing a game of indoor soccer.



After he injured himself, Woohyun was required to change his workout regiment so as to avoid hard contact and use his shoulder less.

In the stream, he revealed that he now only does light running as an exercise to avoid injuring himself again, especially because his shoulder was in a bad state.

“I used to like doing full-contact sports, but now I just run. Right now, I don’t have any cartilage in my shoulders. They’re all ripped to shreds. I feel ok, but the doctor said it’s really bad. I could soon have frozen shoulders, and I was told my shoulder would be in a lot of pain by the time I’m in my 30’s to 40’s.”

Woohyun assured his fans that he was being careful in using his shoulder while dancing and that he doesn’t use his left shoulder when he is in pain.

it also shows that companies need to give PROPER rest times to FULLY heal before idols have to practice intensive choreos that will just fuck up injuries permanently. i'm going at this blindly, but i'm guessing his cartilage wasn't completely ruined by just that one impact and that it was the combo of injury & lack of proper healing & intensive choreos that will leave him damaged for the rest of his life. too sad.

it's reasons like these that ISAC needs to be cancelled. these idols can ruin their livelihood thanks to this thing that have to attend. there's always some accidents in this :/ i feel bad for him, having to live with that painful injury
