onew has been cast in age of youth 2! his character, gong dae nam, will be an engineering student who is "oblivious about love" that will have a love connection with han seung yeon's character, jung ye eun. age of youth 2 will begin airing in mid-august on jtbc after woman of dignity.

tbh. i didn't think we'd see him doing more acting this year but i'm glad he's doing it because he seems to like it - but this def means he's not releasing that solo this year (not that i expected it to be released this year, but).

i guess she was easy to hate. for me, it's because she's the easiest to relate to. typical problems for a girl in her early 20s, and in comparison to the issues of the other girls, light and seemingly ridiculous. but they're real, cause for heartbreak and concern, and lots and lots of love and encouragement. i was super proud of her.

Rather than his acting, I was so much more triggered with how bad is the script lol. And his CPR, that is one lousy chest compression. All the bad medical stuffs in the drama come back to me -- dropping the drama is a right thing to do.

I hope he will release his solo material this year. Japanese idols can release multiply singles, doing dramas and concert tours in one year so I hope Korean companies can let their idols do the same. Onew will go to military soon so hopefully SM will let him do whatever he wants before his time is out...

it could still happen later this year but i'm skeptical now - because shinee are rumored to be starting a dome tour in japan (or at least another arena tour) either late this year or early next. i think, if he does release a solo, it'll be either at the end of the year / start of next or ... after his enlistment duties finish, lol. he doesn't seem very focused on releasing one right now, tbh.

omg i'm so soooo happy!!! i LOVED age of youth last year and was already stoked for season 2 and now onew will be a super in love boyfriend for my fave character of the show???? hell yes!!!!!

that awful garbage bf can gtfo and ye eun gets a smart boy that does fully care for her and wants to spend time with her and adores her (+ yes @ kara/shinee interaction i thought we would never ever get anything anymore besides nicole/key), i wonder how his acting might have improved for the year? i know lots of others disliked his acting in dots even tho i srsly had zero problems with it (like i know worse actors and his crying scenes rlly didn't bother me) but since the acting in s1 of age of youth was so good i suppose the pd/directors saw something they liked in him and i'm sure he will deliver us some good scenes ^^
