Hello A1ST, here is an official announcement about the audition. It seems that some of our fans do misunderstand the concept of this audition (no we didn't). This announcement is for clarification.

When our company first planned to form a group Rania, our goal was to conquer international market. Therefore, we have been looking for talented people who would be willing to practice hard, willing to make their dreams come true no matter what (hmm think you misspelled "~foreign & exotic ppl we can exploit and use for hype and then kick out when we have no use for them any longer"). Recently, there are surprisingly many people who have sent applications to our company (who are these people and why don't they love themselves???) to make their dreams come true as a K-pop artist so that we recognized that there are many talented people out side of Korea that we must meet. However, because of the circumstance we are facing (like lack of professionalism, general incompetence and probably bankruptcy??), we wouldn't be able put our best effort to each of these people. So we decided to outsource some organizations and human resources outside the company. One of them is Born Star NewYork which is located in New York. Danny who is an important member of this organization used to work for DR Music as a producer will help us for the audition. We are planning to recruit 3-4 people from the audition. After this audition, the trainees will be trained for certain period of time learning language, dance, vocal skills etc (o rly will Alex & Ttabo finally get to join these language lessons too?). Hopefully in near future, they will become members of BP Rania W promothing together with the members. (does W stand for WHAT THE FUCK LITERALLY NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS?)

I could go on for DAYS about how mad this company makes me. adding new members is the LAST thing they need; can't they let the girls live for more than a couple of promo cycles without lineup changes?? also, status update on Alex: still in the US, no word on when she'll be back; Yina: on a break? apparently busy with personal schedules but no one knows what exactly and whether she'll be back, i.e. just another regular day stanning this group.

The catch is that you have to be an enrolled student of the idol academy that's sponsoring this in order to audition. Imo, DR Music is managing BPR like they're some kind of ponzi scheme, they only do juuust enough to ensure that people invest in the members' potential and then start selling them to companies who want a cheap slice of the Hallyu-wave pie or singers who are so desperate to actually be performing.

I just feel so bad for the members right now. All the effort they put in, all the progress they make is going to be reset everytime DR feels a bit of the limelight and starts getting greedy.

Not that different from idols themselves though I think, haha. I'm sure a ton of idols want to be an idol cause they want to get close to their own fav, whatever reason they actually polish up and put out into the public.
