Exo M's only Chinese member, Lay, made an appearance at the Chinese program CCTV Youth Day Gala on May 4, 2017. According to CCTV, the Gala is to celebrate China's annual Youth Day
"with a dazzling gala featuring students from around the country[that] will be aired on CCTV's Channel One. Intangible cultural heritage will be front and center at this year's 'Flowers in May' gala"

Lay looked positively angelic, dressed in all white. *op note. Oddly enough, all white in China used to signify death. Hmm maybe not so much anymore? Or maybe he wore it to symbolize the death of Exo M* I especially like the detail of his right shoulder.

Were you born before 1992? If so, looks like you're not considered youth in China and the Youth Day Gala ain't about you. You're middle aged now. Half of your life is over. Now weep. Maybe that's why he wore all white, to signify his youth is over.

Turns out there was a mini reunion, as Luhan and Lay joined the Stage together during the ceremony! Looks like they were happy to see each other, and it's good that they can share a stage and shine together. ~~Kris and Tao could never~~

He also had a performance, entitled "Serving the Country with Upmost Loyalty." No I am not making this up, it's the title.
