Ladies’ Code’s Sojung To Make Solo Debut

On May 2, Polaris Entertainment’s official twitter account released a teaser image announcing Ladies’ Code member Sojung’s upcoming debut as a solo artist. The title for her debut single is “Better than Me.”
Polaris Entertainment shared more about the song stating, “Sojung’s debut single ‘Better than Me’ is a mellow and emotional ballad. So Jung’s captivating voice enhances the song’s sad vibe.”

Sojung received a lot of love for her soulful, husky voice upon her debut in the entertainment industry as part of Ladies’ Code in 2013. Last year, she participated in JTBC’s “Girl Spirit” and impressed viewers with her impressive vocal skills.

“Better than Me” drops on May 4, don’t forget to check it out!

Pour l'instant il se débrouille pas trop mal et essaye d'avoir un discours fédérateur, moi j'ai surtout peur des abstentionnistes.
Y'a eu des manifs hier donc au moins ça veut dire que les gens se bougent un peu.
Par contre Ducon-Gnangnan fait chier, j'espère que ses électeurs ont démissionné avec Dominique Jamet

Oui il reprend même des termes qui ont été parasités par le FN depuis longtemps, il ne les attaque pas seulement sur le plan économique. On verra bien! Je ne l'avais pas trouvé super lors des débats du 1er tour (en même temps, facile de se faire voler la vedette quand il y a les coups de gueule de Philou et envolées lyriques de Méluche), j'espère qu'il sera mieux cette fois.
J'ai vu les manifs! Mieux que je ne le craignais.

Duponpont est un sacré arriviste, et il s'est complètement grillé en plus! Il drainait derrière lui pas mal de gaullistes ne se retrouvant pas dans les discours de Sarko & cie penchant vers le FN, ça ne m'étonne pas qu'il soit lâché à ce point. J'espère qu'il va perdre tous ses mandats. Je le pensais assez inoffensif, j'ai vraiment sous-estimé la profondeur de sa connerie.

And this may sound weird af but like... I'm so glad that they got some serious charting after the accident, but I don't want that to be the ONLY time, you know? I mean, if I were them, I'd feel like the only reason we were successful at that time was because of tragedy, not because of talent and genuine appreciation.

I know exactly what you mean, and it seems Sojung feels the same, when she joined King of Masked Singer she said something along the lines of wanting people to hear her voice for what it is, and not just listen because of the accident. But she and the others are strong, definitely Sojung will keep trying in the industry, and I really hope that the.. I don't know how to say it, the 'aura'? of the accident around them will fade eventually. Of course we shouldn't forget, but it is still too present for people to see them for who they are now.

I understand too. I'm grateful that Polaris seems have kept their mental health in mind and is willing to give them more opportunities. I was a fan of theirs before the accident and it really got me hard seeing two members of one of my fave groups just disappear like that... I was rewatching all their videos the other night going GOD THEY ARE/WERE SO GOOD what gives korea??? Like I'm glad people pulled through for them after the accident, but I hope they're able to enjoy long careers at their own paces getting recognition and $$$.

I am definitely so grateful Polaris handled it the way they did. The girls seem happy and healthy and they couldn't be if it wasn't for their handling. I was a fan since debut (they were my first 'kpop baby' a.k.a. group I followed since debut) and I remember thinking back then how I would be proud and crying 'when they will ever win first place'.. Oh, I was crying, alright. T_T the accident was close to my birthday (sept. 11) and both RiSe and EunB were close to my age and it hit so close to home because of it. One second they were on stage performing and you're enjoying it, the next you read about EunB's death when scrolling on Facebook.. and you spend the next several days checking updates every 15 minutes for RiSe. Like, they were just two girls, just like my friends, or me, who dreamt big. Ugh. But it is that very same thing that is making me think, Ashley, Zuny and Sojung are just the same, girls dreaming big. They had a horrible thing happen to them but it isn't fair to let it define them. And like you said, they're just so goooooood T____T With every mention and article my heart just goes "YAAAASSS LOVE THEM LOVE THEM" and I want to agressively shove them into people's faces but I 'suppose' that's rude

hahaha no it's okay! I totally agree. They are so damn talented, but as speaking as someone who was/is a big fan of SPICA... I'm used to GGs who have massive vocal talent and stage presence just not... getting there. For whatever reason, the public doesn't seem to click with them. I don't want that to happen to the new triangle :(
