So, most of these songs fall into OP’s “Holy crap I haven’t thought of this in forever!” category lol. Every week I go through this Friday on the past charts and post up the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. Let’s see who topped the charts for the 5th week in March, 2013.


#3 Teen Top “Miss Right”
I say this every damn time a Teen Top song pops up on here, but I am always so confused with Teen Top MVs lol. They are just tossed some jumpsuits in class and suddenly they’re in jail? And it’s a co-ed jail cell? With only one female? A co-ed jail where the inmates are allowed handsaws to play around with? Is this what goes on in private prisons?

#2 Lee Hi “It’s Over”
So many different outfits, and she looked so freaking adorable in all of them. Really cute hair and makeup too! I’ve always liked the MV more than the song, it’s cute. And it’s the debut of the YG mascot Krunk! His “One of a Kind” look still makes me laugh.

#1 2AM “One Spring Day”
First off, everyone has such amazing skin here holy crap. They look so good! (I’m ignoring Changmin’s super fluffy hair) I remember the visuals of this MV the most. I always seem to remember 2am MVs first, then the song comes after lol.

#4 Girl's Day “Expectation”
So maybe OP puts this jam on when she’s feeling sassy. And maybe she does the suspender dance in front of the mirror and drops it real low when she’s especially feeling herself. This was such a good era for Girl's Day! They all looked so good and I remember liking the outfits for all the live performances too.

#6 Shinee “Dream Girl”
For some reason weirdo OP remembers the behind the scenes of the MV more than the actual MV lol wtf. I love all the trousers in this MV so much! I sometimes get the chorus randomly stuck in my head.

Aw man, the nostalgia. I really got into kpop as a whole around this period since EXO's comeback was taking forever, and I still remember watching all these songs live on shitty, lagging streams of the music shows. (And the Dream Girl showcase which was so blurry that I could barely make out anyone's faces.)

OP is right: the "Miss Right" MV doesn't really make sense. However, this is a widespread phenomenon in Kpop. As a survivor of VIXX's "Fantasy" and whatever the hell that EXO thing was where Luhan is a werewolf or something, nothing can faze me any more. %)

I feel like Dream Girl is one of those songs that a lot of people forget (if they're not SHINee fans) but the choreo is so freaking amazing. They said they would do it at 2x speed on weekly idol one day and I'm honestly terrified for them lmao.

I remember when it came out people were freaking out over Taemin's pencil pants and Minho singing lmao. Those were the days.

This was when I got into kpop lol. My first time seeing a Shinee MV straight when it came out and I was like, the colors, the angles, the glitches, so much to take in as a newbie. Dream Girl is one of my least favorite songs from the album but it's still a soft spot. Weird to have 2013 be throwbacks, really feels like it was just yesterday! And I hated that diet Block B Teen Top song, stanned Lee Hi as soon as I found her, and wish Girl's Day's recent comeback was on Expectation's level (never noticed how cheap that MV kinda is).
