I'M SEEING BTS TOMORROW NIGHT. It feels like a dream, honestly. I also saw them on our local news earlier this week, which was fun. There have certainly been some hilariously cringe worthy moments during this whole US promo. Still can't get over Rat Monster, lmao. With everything going on politically in this country, the excitement from the upcoming concert (plus moving and getting ready for school) has been a nice distraction from all of it.

Hello everyone, is it Spring where you are? It's been a really hot week here but has turned gloomy suddenly over the past few days.

I've just finished some fieldwork research for a client and gosh i'm so exhausted. Everything else just fell by the wayside and now I have a bunch of stuff to see to and it's already April! How do some people balance their lives when they have so many things going on?! lol

It's like 3:30AM where I'm at but I just got back to my hotel from Roscoe's and I'm happily tipsy and tired.
My week has been amazing. BTS was absolutely amazing they were literally all gorgeous in real life and taller than I thought they would be but I have after concert depression because I just want to see them again. If I could relive that moment a thousand times I would. I made so many friends and it was such a good vibe and I was so happy. I'm overwhelmed with emotions lol.
Namjoon said if he ever had to live in America he would choose Chicago and I teared up at that too! I also cried during Spring Day but that song reminds me of my grandpa so that's why.

I honestly feel so motivated after this concert. like woke up again if that makes any sense? My depression was bad but feeling actual happiness made me want to get back into life.

I just arrived in LA because I'm going to bts concert Sunday as a few other people have stated as well. Very excited. I've never been to LA so I'm excited to explore with my friend who lives here. I hope we can make bts stay here in America mostly a positive one. Fans have kinda been joking about them hating America...which as a fan I want them to enjoy coming here but so many awkward interviews and then the death threats makes me think they might not have enjoyed there time here as much as they could have :/... Anyways sorry about little rant but yeah I'm also helping with rainbow project and I just hope it goes well and that that positive out weighs the negative for them here.

Don't worry, fans always joke about kpop artists hating America whenever they're here. They don't, it's just that their management always goes overboard in isolating them b/c they don't want some kind of international incident to happen and i-fandom to misunderstand. Also, a lot of the time they are super-tired from the intercontinental travel -- it's a much more intense travel situation to go from Korea to America then from Korea to the other Asian countries they usually perform at.

I feel so dumb lmao, I finally meet in person a girl I have been sending emails since I got my jobs for a big project she's in charge (and my townhall is partner with) and... she actually remembered me because we had a class together in first year uni. I didn't even remember her face from that time??? I checked and of course I remember the class (I met two really good friends in!) but not her???
Anyway we'll have time to catch up since we're going to regularly work together :')

Otherwise I have my brother staying in my flat this evening :D and tomorrow a birthday party in Paris! It's going to be such a good weekend, and a good pause from work, I'm getting more and more tired from all the (interesting, at least) work there is to do :')

Yesterdays post of xiumin getting his PhD made me kinda sad. My friends or other people my age are getting their bachelor or even masters and I haven't accomplished anything yet and I'm already 24. For the past weeks I've had trouble falling asleep bc there's just so much going on in my life right now and I'm worried of my future 😭 at least my depression is under control, thank you AD

hello omona! the sun has been out this past week and i'm in a much better mood. i do hope the heat stays away for a bit longer though cause i'm not made for that humid weather.

i finished avatar: the last airbender two days ago and now i'm sad. what an amazing show! from the characters, to the story, to the animation. just everything about it was perfect. and to think that i just wanted to watch something "easy". three weeks later and here i am: emotionally attached to these characters 😩

hey omona! my hrs got cut at work... again. we get a full month schedule for some reason (well, tbh, schedules are a newly implemented thing in my dept there, anyway; it used to be just come in for x shift every week but they keep hiring more high schoolers) and i did the math for all of mine and it's ~32 hrs for the whole month of april. which is abt half of my hrs cut. need a new job, don't wanna work in food service :(

Hi Omona! This is gonna be a long comment so let me start lol.

Firstly, last week I took an academic test to get into university, I didn't get in but at least I have final exams before graduation so I can get in with them too. I don't know for sure what I want to study, I thought that I had chosen the thing that I want to study but the academic test really made me rethink about it so I'm not sure anymore.

Aside from that I got so embarrassed today bc I went to the grocery shop and wanted to pay for my food and I just forgot my mother's bank card's pin code (I remembered it like 5 minutes before lol) and I just couldn't remember it and had to just leave and the clerk just had to send the stuff back.

Now to better things. I wanted to ask if any people here have read Han Moo-Sook's books? I recently read "And So Flows History" and "The House of Pomegranate Trees". I loved "And So Flows History" and "The House of Pomegranate Trees" was not as amazing but still very good. I got to know more about Korean culture and history especially from "And So Flows History" bc it spans several decades and important historical events are included there. I also wanted to ask if Han Moo-Sook is popular in Korea? Like I read from the introduction to "And So Flows History" that she is one of the most notable female writers of Korea in the 20th century but there's so little information about her and her works online so I thought maybe someone here knows if some of her works are like read in school or sth. And for people interested in Korean literature, here (http://library.klti.or.kr/) is a Digital Library where you can borrow some e-books by Korean authors translated into English and some books are in other languages too.

Gather 'round, children. It's been a week, but I still remember by Bangtan concert story like it was yesterday *-*

(It's about me, so I'll preface it with a note about Bangtan being more amazing live than they are on tv. I am blessed to have seen Intro: Boy Meets Evil in person and surely no one will fight me for him, but RM is my fiance now.)

At the beginning of December, when I was still managing an unnamed niche translation blog for BTS, I took out a pencil and paper and calculated costs for attending the BTS WINGS tour in Newark. The answer I had arrived at was a gross underestimation, but that's not important. I could afford it.
I was willing to pay any price for floor tickets (just not the prices those bastard scalpers were asking). I did all my research and daily devotionals, but ended up having to coach my sister on how to use the website, since I'd been called off reserve hours before ticketing began. Have you ever felt your heart drop down into your stomach? Long story short - unnie did not realize exactly HOW quickly BTS tickets are sold out and I did not get any. If I had been alone, I would have cried. They added the second date - same story: I was working, my sister was trying her best, but she again, did not get tickets. Being the tenacious (desperate) spirit I am, I stalked Powerhouse live and realized Ticketmaster had just crashed and there were still tickets left. I got mine, a mezzanine ticket, I bought a pair of binoculars and rolled with it.

-Stuff happened, my mother and I went up to Newark via Miami-

On the night of the concert, I was dressed to the nines and not so horrified to find out that this was not how people dress to concerts up there. I looked like a member of SNSD, but on a good day and slightly blacker. I was feeling good tho, I got to my seat. Now, I guess Jin fans had a plan to scream extra loud whenever he was on the screen? I couldn't just let it go, so I had to give my men Suga and RM an extra boost. It was at this point that I decided I needed to step my game up and get some fans - with the faces on them - so I went down to the goods stand. I ran back up the escalator twice, cause those Jin fans kept making me think the show had started. In the end the fans were sold out, so I went back. If I had had enough money on me, I would have bought a bangtan bomb, but I only had a 50. I think that was God saving me from myself I saw a penny at the top of the escalator and wanted to pick it up for luck, but there were people behind me, so I didn't want to be a nuisance. As I was going back to my seat, a man who seemed to work at the venue asked if I was alone and I nodded. He hands me a ticket and says "go downstairs and have a good time". I gave the man a hug and bolted in my yellow heels to a section in the lower level straight across from the stage. All in all, it was up there with some of the best days of my life.
