We really do need to get CL on some American TV shows. Maybe CL shouldn't full-out rap (I'm not sure people would take her seriously, either) but just sing-rap instead. Hell, a lot of famous rappers do it. (Not to mention, that unlike some of these rappers, she actually has a voice on her.) Again, girl should focus on collaborations. Have people wondering, "Who's that girl?" (I didn't how you put in Rihanna for a comparison, but I'll forgive you, for now.)
I actually like that CL is untouchable too. Luckily for CL, she's a K-Pop artist. That's how she gets away with no leaking music. (They make sure to keep their music under lock and key, I'm sure of it!) However, she IS no Beyoncé, and therein lies the problem. This doesn't mean CL has to spill the beans on every single detail of her life from birth to now. (We can save that for her life documentary later on.) She just needs to look a little less closed off to the public. (I'm not sure how she'd go about doing that. That's where I'm stumped.)
Girl needs to get on stages stateside. Maybe even on the other side of the pond. (London, maybe?) I doin't know how they missed the opportunity when the girl went to the MTV Music Awards. (We only got a red carpet apperance. Come on now!)
To reiterate, we need collabs with pop artists (enough to get some buzz), performances (to raise her profile in the States, because what she's doing now isn't cutting it), and a better marketing team (her group is way too stuck on how to introduce her to her future audience, and it's not ALL because of her ethnicity).
Delusions aside (for fans), I think we would AT LEAST make great advisors. Tell these higher ups what they're doing right and wrong, and how to do it better and with more passion. But that's just me.
P.S. If this doesn't work out, stanning Minzy might not be such a bad choice. Girl's get hyped up in the right way. At least she's not sitting on her ass. But if she is, she's getting paid for it, I'm sure.
P.P.S. OP, the only GDxCL collabo that counts is "The Leaders" with Teddy.

People do think she is similar to Rihanna, as far as her style and singing voice is concerned, the "lights out Killin it some more" part in HB got some people confused haha. And when it comes to stylistic choices, I think it kinda obvious too, no?
She was at the VMAS? That is my biggest takeaway from this. I don't remember seeing her or her outfit. Then again I didn't watch the show.
