Super rookie Highlight are the first male idol group to get n°1 spot on Melon chart in 2017

As of 11:30 a.m. KST on March 22nd, Highlight has topped six of the eight major music charts in Korea with their title track “Plz don’t be sad.” (and still are!)

Their success on the charts is wiping away any concerns or anxieties about the group starting anew as Highlight, as they continues to be acknowledged as a group that people ‘trust to be good before even listening.’ Furthermore, Highlight has become the first male idol group in 2017 to have secured the No.1 slot on Melon’s standard weekly chart (and still going strong!).

My heart's beating at all the songs they're going to make their fans so happy with. It's not like they broke a record or smth, but still a relief! But what surprises me most bout this article is the demographic. Usually idols have mostly fans in their teens or 20s, but they have a very balanced age range from 10s to 40s. Get that noona money!

Yeah they must have felt so much pressure! I think especially for the members who had the most to lose by leaving. I'm not sure how copyright works over there, but Junhyung possibly lost rights to the songs he composed for Beast when he left (just saw dude had like over 100 songs registered at KMCA like holy shit) so that was a big risk but also a big burden for him. Takes a lot of courage and loyalty toward his fellow members to just take a leap of faith like that. Props to him!

*old man voice* back in the days, I didn't use to look up all these charts, but now I check regularly when groups I'm interested make a comeback. I didn't think they could outrank Twice and Ailee's ost track but they're really steady so far, which impresses me, because usually, I see boy groups climb up at night, only to go back down a dozen or even fifty ranks once it's morning. They're clinging to that 1st spot for dear life. XD

This makes me so happy. I was so tired and when I read this it actually perked me up. I now it may not happen but I am hoping that they get one win, and hope they continue to do good in the future. It doesn't matter that their name has changed I still love their songs!

This further shows how an idiot Cube is. You got a group who are stable digitally & physically and are liked by the public. Yet, you mismanaged them so much and hang on to your other groups who most probably cant achieve the same feat like what BEAST can achieve (lol I said this as a big BTOB fan).

If I were Cube, I will make them comeback at Korea 2/3 times per year and have them tour Japan the whole year. Its a sure money due to their reputation and yet... Cube did practically nothing for the past 3/4 years.
