I like this kind of shows, and Sejeong is perfect for this formula, she looks so chill and nice.
Omg everything was just so sweet idk what else to say ;__;.
And the girl looks like she really deserved that small bit of support ;__; reminds me a bit of f(x)'s show when they met an exchange student and shared a breakfast. It wasn't as funny as Luna hiding in lockers in another episode but it really touched me.

ikr? reactions between girl idol/fangirl tend to be less about fangirling or feel startrucked and more about acting like "we are gal pals arent we?" (hyuna episode or wonder girls episode are like this too)

reactions between male idols/fangirls (shinee, infinite, block b, eric nam, highlight, b1a4 ) are totally diferents with idols acting like boyfriends around die-hard fangirls

i actually doubt this girl was like the idols fangirl type .... her less enthusiastic respond could be because she was one of the oldest fans and also told the saddest fan testomony we've seen in this serie :(

I do think this depends a lot on how we react, value and relate differently not just to famous people, but to fame itself. it's very possible that this young girl, with all that she's been through, is grounded differently in reality and relate to Sejeong not as an infallible idol but as another girl who's worked hard and in some respects have had similar hardships, but in others been much much luckier than her.. a more typical 'fangirling' reaction might've seemed disingenuous, especially if encouraged by the film crew. oftentimes I find myself rolling my eyes when 3rd generation idols or fans exhibit that level of emotional squee in front of (older) idols because it (sometimes not always) seem to be a calculated move to build the latter up, (and in the case of younger idols, reflect positively on them too although it doesn't mean the sentiment is in itself fake!). personally I loved watching this because I liked how the girl obv didn't feel the need to visibly manifest Sejeong's "status" as an idol. if that's her genuine reaction then great. I've met people I admire and barely reacted - others where I've had a complete meltdown. ^^
