I really wish people would stop sleeping on B.A.P. This song is beautiful with a powerful message. It doesn't follow the conventional Kpop standard, there's not a lot of ayego, or a catchy phrase, or a fun dance move.
B.A.P has their own style and they always try experiment with that. I feel like they can never make people happy. If they are hardcore, then people want a more 'fun' B.A.P, and if they are not as hardcore then it's "oh...but I like their hardcore style."
Their mix of metal/rock + hiphop was what drew me to them on their debut so that'll always be my fav style of theirs, but they're so versatile they rly can do anything and I'd love it haha! It never feels like it's a forced 'concept change'
I feel like I've heard this melody before in Western/Anglo songs, but not in k-pop. Kinda seems like a generic alt-rock/adult contemporary song that'd chart in the lower parts of the Top 40 but be a mediocre size hit. Not bad, not shook.

They definitely have a larger intl fan base then Korean one (idk if you know - but they went through a lot of shit about two years ago that lost the major momentum they had in Korea), and imo their music seems to always cater to that fact. I agree with what you said about the sound tho - part of me wishes it was stronger and another part of me is just glad they're still around to release music in the first place.
Yeah that's a major part of it. They had a really strong debut and did really well their debut year especially considering they debuted in 2012 which had a record number of group debuts (the major 2012 rookies were them and exo - 2012 mama rookie of the year was a hell of a time lol) and there was a point in time when bap was releasing music every couple of months and building their fanbase so rapidly that people assumed they'd really hit it big. But then they sued for overwork and unfair pay and couldn't perform as a group for a good year and a half - which isn't good for any group especially with how much competition is in the industry. When they finally came back in 2015 thy lost a lot of their fans and the upper hand they had in 2012, and they have yet to get it back.
(I realized this all happened actually 3 years ago not 2 ^^)
God I freaking love this song it's such a jam the MV was super impressive - the diversity of all those actors/actresses!!! I literally had to hit pause whenever Jongup showed up omg, making icons but why are his scenes so hard to color TTTTT can't wait to listen to the full "single" album
I really enjoyed this actually, I heard it and really loved it! I know i'll be streaming this a lot, that's for sure! Thy did good, this really feels like 1004 era again, and in a good way. I'll be eager to see what the rest of their album sounds like, because Noir was a masterpiece and I really hope Rose is filled with good quality songs!

Himchan's voice was a highlight in this song for me.You can tell this song/video probably have a lot to do with Yongguk's recovery, it's making me so emotional.God I missed him
I loved this. It didn't have a punch, but there was a reason for that. I really enjoyed the diversity of people. I got really emotional during a couple of scenes. I got it.

Glad you mentioned it cos yeah, does seem like he's trying to rippity rap way too many words at times. I get that that's his thing but lol just, take it down a notch sometimes:P

That last year was a mess lol. The usual pushing, which ok...i get and expect tbh. But apparently people were also threatening each other, some even wore steel toed boots to create an easier passage to the front and were contemplating on doing it again this year. Some other stuff as well but those two points got me like hmmmmm..... It just sounded like the front/middle was super intense and no fun at all. Fingers crossed that it won't be like that this year lol. I got gold lol 🙈
Finally home to watch it and it's even better than I expected. Let this be Himchan's era please!! This is such a beautiful song and combined with that poignant mv, it left me speechless. Some of the imagery in it was just heartbreaking. And it also feels so apt for the times we're living in. I'm so impressed you guys lol. This might be one of my favorite mvs of them. (And yaaaaas @ the diversity!)
