On March 3rd, 2000, So Chan Whee performed her newest song "Tears" on Music Camp. Since then it has been renowned as not only one of the toughest songs vocally to perform, but also one of the most iconic and beloved songs in Korean music history. Throughout 17 years, "Tears" is still very present in today's K-Pop industry, and the fan-chants are just as loud as they were in 2000, if not louder.

Here you'll find many performances of the song, but first let's start with the music video that started this all!

One of her most notable performances was an appearance on Infinite Challenge in 2015, the cast and crowd burst into excitement the second the song began and everyone was full of energy and jumping much to the delight of Chan Whee.

The most shocking performance wasn't even sung by the veteran idol, instead UP10TION's SunYoul stole the spotlight on King of The Masked Singer in January of 2016, where he was revealed to be a male group idol, not a female singer as everyone assumed. This lead to a live performance featuring SunYoul and Chan Whee on Music Core two months later.

The most shocking performance for OP personally was in January of this year! Oh My Girl's SeungHee was chosen to sing "Tears" on KBS Girl Group Battle. Surprisingly SeungHee was able to belt out the powerful vocals as well as Chan Whee who appeared to duet with her. 17 years later and she still nails it!

No matter where she is, the crowd goes crazy for So Chan Whee. She performed at the 5th GAON Charts Awards in 2016 and all fans, including idols were on their feet jumping and singing along!

Of course we can't end this celebration without noting some amazing and hilarious covers of the legendary song!

First let's start of with the amusing, but also impressive performance from PENTAGON's JinHo and ShinWon from last month! OP commends ShinWon he tried his hardest and that's what counts!

Next, let's have a look at Red Velvet's over-the-top karaoke cover! Wendy gained a lot of attention especially for her powerful vocals.

GFRIEND's EunHa briefly covered the song on SHOWTIME with MAMAMOO, although she had an off-start, she easily regained her voice and gave a very impressive performance.

Last but not least, this post wouldn't be complete without the hilarious performance from BTOB on Weekly Idol! No words describe this, just watch it for yourself.

This is my first time making a post like this, sorry it's a day late! I noticed no one posted Oh My Girl's SeungHee singing this back in late Jan. this year, so I thought this would be a good excuse to make a post celebrating the 17th anniversary of "Tears" since So Chan Whee is still singing this song 17 years later!!!

I've been pretty MIA from Omona due to some IRL issues, so I hope this post brings some joy to anyone else struggling right now because it sure made me super happy to make! :)

The first thing I thought of when I saw this post was Eunkwang covering "Tears" on My Little Television. Haha that Weekly Idol ep was epic though. I watched the Masked Singer broadcast live and Sunyoul totally caught me off guard.
