Yes apparently it's another part of their predebut introductions. Until now, the company gave each girl a solo - and then, the girls would gather in duo/trios to perform another song as bside to the monthly release. This time, we don't know if Vivi will have a solo song (I'm still expecting it to happen but who knows with this company?) and instead, they're having a subunit! There are rumors of more regular promotions too, but idk which shows or how many time they'll promote the song. It's implied that Yeojin (the cutiepie singing 'First Kiss') will be in another subunit later on? which would make three subunits of four girls, as there are going to be twelve members in Loona. Also there wasn't any release in February... the company is really trying their best to try new things and keep fans over the edge, waiting for more.
Personally I think their company is taking quite a risk with this whole "unveil one member per month" and "sub-unit" thing, but I hope it works out. I liked all the songs so far (some more, some less - "Vivid" was the best so far, in my opinion) and I'm always here for more gg groups! ^.^
Oh I also think that's it's really risky, especially as they seemingly make no effort to ease all the confusion around their concept. Keeping things mysterious is not always the key to success lol. But I'm still really interested with their choices and liked their songs (I love Vivid but my fave is I'll Be There so far :D) so I'm keeping up and hoping it will work out for the girls. Let's wait and see!
It's weird how they announced Vivi in February but hasn't followed up until now... I'm wondering if their plans got delayed (maybe because of the subunit?) and if they'll reveal the next member in May Idk it's confusing to follow this group lol
