To The World: NCT DREAM appointed FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017 ambassadors

NCT DREAM have been appointed FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017 Local Organising Committee (LOC) ambassadors at an appointment ceremony in KFA house on 15 February. LOC executive vice chairman Kwak Youngjin, vice-chairman Cha Bumkun, secretary general Kim Dongdae and Korea Republic U-20 national team coach Shin Taeyong all attended the ceremony to celebrate the appointment along with the newly appointed ambassadors.

NCT DREAM, who join previously appointed ex-footballers Ahn Junghwan and Park Jisung in taking up the role, are a multinational K-pop teenage boyband consisting of six members (Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jisung). The group will sing the Official Song for FIFA U-20 World Cup Korea Republic 2017.

“NCT DREAM have a few things in common with FIFA U-20 World Cup participants, including that the members are aged under 20 and see the future being better than the present,” said Kwak. "The LOC hope the song performed by the ambassadors makes a positive impact by expressing the energy of their members."

Mark, the leader of NCT DREAM, said: “It is an honour to sing the Official Song of a FIFA tournament. Our goal is to spread positive energy to the public, and eventually to ‘Trigger the Fever’ like the slogan of the tournament.”

The Official Song by NCT DREAM will go public at the Official Draw in Suwon Artrium on 15 March, and will be heard at various promotional events for the tournament.

there's been rumors among k-nets of jaemin being dropped from nct dream....
i really hope it's not true, but he's been rumored to have left the dorm, which would make sense if he's receiving extensive treatment.. but he's been excluded from literally everything (including end of the year greeting pictures, which doesn't require him being physically active at all)
the members haven't mentioned jaemin at all either in any of their recent videos.

it's just fishy as hell how sm has literally removed the boy from the face of the planet. even if he's receiving treatment, they should be promoting the boy that just debuted one way or another. it just feels like they are intentionally staying quiet (i seriously hope not.....has me wondering if something else happened or if he's condition is so bad that they have things under wrap)

all just speculation among k-netz, but they have mentioned how some members have continued their activities despite disc issues, yet jaemin can't even be bothered to be photoshopped in their end of the year greeting....idk i'm worried :(

i honestly can't be mad or upset if jaemin doesn't come back to nct dream. he's 16 with a disc injury that could endanger his entire future!! i think a lot of the people i've seen complain forget how serious this is. as long as he is indeed getting extensive treatment and recovering 100% and not actually getting holed up in a practice room for some other reason, he should take aaaaaaaaaall the time in the world.

when yeri got injured she also dropped off the face of the planet, so it might have to do with him being a minor. maybe his parents pulled him out too. i'm more worried about the severity of the injury because he can always come back to nct in the future, it's the whole concept of the group. i know people are worried, but also not entitled to know more about his condition idk :(

that's true & you're right. his health is top priority, but i just hope things aren't so bad that he can't promote as an idol on stage again. he's been training since 2013 & i just hope his efforts aren't in vain. if the issues been an on going one as sm says, they definitely could have taken better preventative measures...instead of having him do an entire choreo on a hoverboard smh
also i mean a different end of the year greeting/questionare thing that nct dream did.
but in the official season's greeting his autograph is missing, which is also sus.

but yeah his health is the most important, it's just with sm i can't ever be sure about taking something at face value ~_~

idt it's that fishy tbh. i think it's better to leave him be and let him rest totally, not drag him out just to make fans happy. how can they promote him when he's having treatment? he hasn't actually been mia for that long, a few months. if he's ever gonna recover enough to perform again he needs more time.

also the boys did talk about him briefly at fan meeting about a month ago. it's not much, but it's smth. they haven't mentioned him in recent vids probably bc sm told them not to draw attention to his absence. i totally get your concerns but i wouldn't read too much into it rn.
