[Translation] Gfriend's Dazed Interview (FULL)

Following last year, this shall be our second meeting. In the meantime, you've managed to establish yourself as trending group. What do you feel after your second anniversary since debut?

Umji: We talked to each other earlier in the car how we still don't feel like it's already our 2nd anniversary. Last year around this time seems just like yesterday. I think time went by so fast.

Sowon: if in 2015 we were just running thoughtlessly. 2016 was the period that we were able to grow one step more. Using last year as steppingstone, we want to show you our hardworking side in 2017 as well.

Yerin: I'm happy because i received lots of love from lots of people.

SinB: It feels strange th
at we got junior that would greet us everytime we go to broadcast station nowadays. It feels weird.

Eunha: That's right It's amazing

Yuju: We were always the youngest....(so) i'm bewildered.

Last week you went to Taiwan, how was it? I heard you have an immense popularity there?

Sowon: We got an invitation to attend Taiwan 'Superstar Red & White Entertainment' Awards show, that's why we went. You can say that it was our first appearance in Taiwan's entertainment program, but lots of people welcomed us, more than i expected, so we were surprised.

Yerin: We work hard to prepare simple greeting in Chinese but we couldn't memorized it well, (but) i was really touched to see how Chinese fans were singing along to Korean lyrics.

Eunha: We haven't really begin overseas activities yet but i'm grateful that we got fans that know and love us.

The members are all adult this year. Congrats.

Yerin: Sigh, (we're) getting old(laughs). My mental age is still a high schooler.....

Sowon: Like what Yerin said, we're getting old but all of the members are still innocent and tease each other a lot. But then i think we do have matured.

To celebrate coming of age, is there anything you would like to do together?

Umji: I would like to go to Han river and eat 'Chimaek (chicken and beer)' with the members on a fine day.

SinB: I want to go to Jjimjilbang (sauna). We can go there at midnight without guardian now(laughs)

Sowon: I want to watch movies at midnight, get driver license and go travel together.

Yuju: I would like to have a drink together with our choreo teachers who taught us diligently even before debut and have a frank conversation with them.

Sowon: me too! i felt something was missing because all this time even when we got #1, cause we have underage members, we were always just share Yulmulcha (adlay tea) and Sikhye (sweet rice drink) with the teachers at prac
tice room to celebrate it(laughs)

Ah, i was worried a lot because of Umji's injured legs, is it okay now?

Umji: I'm fully recovered now. I work hard in receiving rehabilitative treatment because i feel sorry for people who were worried for me.

Sowon: I'm grateful to Umji who endured it well. The absence of Umji was too big during one month without her. I realized it again after going through this. The fact that even one member shouldn't miss in Gfriend!

Yuju: i like it so much how the energy of team is back as soon as Umji came back.

I heard that you're busy preparing for the new album nowadays. Is the preparation doing well?

Sowon: We can't say any specific things yet but we're preparing hard for it. I don't know what kind of color the album will be this time. But whatever it is, i think it would always have Gfriend-ish to it. I hope you can trust us and wait for it.

After 'School Trilogy', the public anticipating a lot at what kind of new thing Gfriend would show. Aside from the company's plan, do you have any transformation (a change) that you would like to try?

Yerin: Kind of dreamlike concept!

Sowon: Girl Crush!

Umji & SinB: Something different visually! we want to try to dye our hair or wear colorful lenses....

Yuju & Eunha: We would like to try colorful make up or outfits as well.

If you would do a unit activity, is there any member that you want to match with?

Sowon: Umji, Eunha, Yerin vs SinB, Yuju, me, i personally think it would be interesting if it's divided into two team like this. Divided into cute team and girl crush team.

SinB: I agree. I like the combination of Yerin unnie, Eunha unnie and Umji. I hope (we) can try Orange Caramel's kind of cute as unit concept.

Yuju: Because Umji and SinB are the youngest, i think it would suit them well.

Eunha: I want to try it with Yerin unnie. Both of us kind of have a similar code when joking around. The type that would use the body or facial expressions intensely(Laughs).

If you were given a break for exactly a month, is there a first thing you would like to do?

Sowon: A month... i think it's too long. I desperately want a break when we're so busy but when we're resting, i feel devastated. When watching TV, i would think "i should be standing there on stage so why am i here like this?". A month is too long, i think a week of resting would be reasonable(Laughs).

Yerin: Really? I'm happy during break time! If i got time,even if not faraway, i would like to go travel.

Eunha: Me too! Instead of overseas, i would like to go to famous places in our country.

Yuju: It's a dream-like story! I want to meet closest friend i couldn't meet for a long time. I want to excitedly chatting with them.

SinB: I want to rest at home. I don't exactly have anything i would like to do. Just like playing with neighborhood friends or go shopping with Mom and Dad and spend small things together.

Umji: I got to rest for about a month due to my leg injury last time, i was really bored. Even though it's because i was only at home and the hospital. Now that my leg's better, i want to go travel to Hongkong with my real sister.

As i'm doing this interview, i feel like each member really got different personality. Is there any words of habit that you often say on daily basis?

Sowon & Yerin: Umji really use the word 'even now' a lot(Laughs).

Umji: I admit(Laughs). The unnies kept teasing me for it lately. As for SinB, she speaks kind of fast. Using lots of hand gestures.

SinB: Now that i think of it, i think i use the word "kind of" so well.

Yerin: Sowon unnie use the word "really funny" a lot.

Yuju & Eunha: We don't really do such thing. We just use onomatopoeia (imitating sounds) a lot. When playing prank on members, we would make this "hee" sound a lot.

Do you have any things that you like these days?

Sowon: drama <Goblin>! I watched till ep 7 and can't watch afterward.

Yerin: I like Jibang doll lately so i'm collecting it. It's really cute. I usually never find a doll lovely before but i feel happier when i look at Jibang. To the extent of putting a smile (in my face).

SinB: I'm interested a lot in interior. Because i like to decorate my room lately....

Umji: diet!

Eunha: 'cookie run' game!

Yuju: Youtube videos! Watching dance videos.

What kind of girlfriend that Gfriend would like to be? Choose your ideal type.

Yerin: kind person!

Sowon: I continuously choose senior Park Hyejin ever since debut but lately it changed to Hong Jong Hyun(Laughs).

Yuju: (i find) Nam Joo Hyuk is so cool lately.The role of Jung Joon Hyung in drama <Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Ju> is really my style.

Umji: Jeremy Sumpter that appeared on the movie <Peterpan>! His eyes are sad and yet it makes me so flutter.

SinB: I'm attracted to a guy who has a nice voice. I like a person with baritone voice that works hard on his work.

Eunha: The kind of person that i can lean on!

Umji: Honestly rather tha
n this, i like the person who can love me as i am the most.

That's a mature answer! Lastly, what is Gfriend's goal in 2017?

Sowon: Not just in music station but entertainment program, radio, etc, and through various channel, we would like to show you the side that you never know before,

Yerin: Entering all charts and getting #1 as well!

Umji & Eunha: We received lots of love for the past 2 years but we would like to be Gfriend who received even more love and we hope we can be more active this year.

SinB: I want to give back as much as we received. I think we make our fans worry with this and that last year, we would like to meet you, safe and healthy, often this year.

Yuju: Not losing our sense of tension, i want to stand on stage with a new mind everytime. Not losing our original intention
and be Gfriend who doesn't feel satisfied (so that they keep getting better)

GFriend performed at SOPA graduation and Buddies started investigating and playing the game of "how many wigs do you see?", because of that, this Navillera fancam reached 1M views in 1 and a half days.
On this and Rough fancams they are always touching their wigs, the speculation started, Gfriend comeback is near and they changed hairstyle and colors. This is not the first time, Eunha wore a wig before Navillera to hide her new haircut, but a lot of buddies didn't realised it was a wig at time.

Omona and Buddies are you ready for Gfriend to snatch some wigs (literally!) with the next comeback?
