I thought today was Wednesday! Top’s enlistment is hitting me harder than I expected, wtf I’m a damn mess. Anyways, every week I go through the past charts for this Friday and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going back to the 2nd Friday in February, 2013.


#3 Girls’ Generation “I Got A Boy”
AYO GG! I’ve always been pretty indifferent toward the song itself…although I think I didn’t hate it as much as everyone else did lol. But after 4 years I still continue to hate this styling.

#2 CN Blue “I’m Sorry”
Literally the only part of the song I remember is when he says “I’m sorry” in the chorus lol. And I don’t remember the MV at all.

#1 Baechigi featuring Ailee “Shower Of Tears”
This song did really well, and it was on the charts for a while. This also doesn’t sound like Ailee at all to me. The girl in the MV is me at karaoke every time I sing Lisa Loeb’s “Stay”.

Honorable Mentions

#5 Infinite H featuring Bumkey “Special Girl”
I don’t remember this at all, but it’s a nice little jam. I’m also very distracted by the girl in the video. I think her eyebrows are too dark for her hair and it’s all I can focus on.

#9 Nine Muses “Dolls”
I remember everything about this song but the MV lol. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before.

Baechigi's song with Ailee is one of my favorite songs 2013, but I also looooved Dolls and Infinite H's song with Bumkey is one of the two Infinite H songs worth listening to for me.

'i got a boy' is probably the first proper introduction to kpop i had. some western media made a huge deal of "another korean artist" potentially breaking psy's youtube record, so i decided to check out the mv AND BOY OH BOY. instant love! funky and catchy, what else to ask? and now i'm here lol

i got into kpop on late 2013 and igab was still charting so well ... i find it annoyingly catchy lol but i cant deny it was huge

I GOT A BOY WAS SUCH A HOT MESS BUT A FUN HOT MESS! THEY BROUGHT IT WITH THAT DANCE! It's such a fun song to jam to and it's definitely in my workout playlist. I even learnt some of the choreo. That styling still remains absolutely tragic but at least some of them pulled it off.

Dolls is forever my fave 9M song. I loved everything about it! Bless that golden line up! This is the kind of song and concept that I wish SoShi had because I think it would actually fit them OTL

I loved IGAB ! When it came out on NY'13 I remembered jamming it to death. Probably one of the "many songs in one song" that I honestly like. And I adore the styling lol though it was a hot mess and won't look good in anyone, but I thought SNSD pulled it off very well !

igab was such a jam for me when i got into kpop ;;; idek what i liked more the fact how it was like a few songs in one or the style, some of those outfits still look so amazing!

also although the chorus of that cnblue song is not so amazing, i adore all the other parts of the song so much <3

IGAB was SNSD's last iconic song :( that was the year I intensified my stanning for Taeyeon cuz of how happy she looked in the performances and the choreo was FIRE. That was the era where SM hired NappyTabs to choreograph everything lol

I had just recently gotten into KPOP mainly CNBLUE and this was the first comeback I witnessed for them. I was so excited. Still like the song "I'm Sorry" it was actually just going through my head the other day :)
