BESTie took part in a recent episode of ‘NOISEY‘ on VICELAND, and while talking with the show, they made the grave mistake of being honest about why they can’t have public relationships.

They slipped up a bit and got a tiny bit real while talking with a reporter, and their managers were not having that shit. They got mad because BESTie got too honest and didn’t keep up the facade, but funnily enough more telling was the reaction to the group in terms of what the environment is like.

Dating bans are awful and it's a shame idols have to be (mostly) secretive about their private lives. The idols-are-products line of thinking is extremely hurtful.

Celebrities shouldn't have to consider their fans' ~feelings~ anyway when it comes to their private lives. Being on tumblr has taught me even the apparently most sane of fans can get crazy jaelous when it comes out their fave is dating, and that's all THEM and not the idol. I don't really think most of them have any idea what they're getting into when they become trainees considering they're usually children.
