I finished watching this last night, and omg they all had me rolling! I don't stan Shinhwa, but I've been poking around them for awhile now. It might be time to get serious, and pick a bias, listen to an entire album, etc.
Question for the Shinhwa stans: Is Shinhwa Broadcast as funny as this Weekly Idol episode?
Shinhwa Broadcast is definitely funnier than this. Since there's no MCs on there to try and keep them in line there's basically no filter for anything they do.
Well on several occasions he has referred to Eric as African/from Africa/dark/black and so on. But the most fucked thing was when they had to search for a celebrity lookalike (May 5th 2013, ep. 54). Hyesung ran out of time so he then asked a black woman to come with him and introduced her as Eric lookalike.

Eric himself actually tells 'factual' stories) (i.e. he's not telling it to be funny or as a joke) about his experience with being mistaken for an African American or Filipino or Hispanic during his high school days. His friend/acquaintances were always surprised when they heard him speak Korean for the first time. Eric was pretty famous during his high school days and he and Hyesung already knew each other in the States before they joined SM. There was also a certain picture of Eric circulating the media around 2004 where he looks shockingly identical to Eddie Murphy when they were superimposed on one another. Hyesung was simply referring to Eric features, where, to be honest, is quite foreign and not that common in Korea. And when have Shinhwa members ever made numerous colorist/racist comments about Eric? I have been in this fandom for over 15 years, and have never heard/read/seen it. If they say Eric can be mistaken for/looks African American...it's because IT HAPPENED (on numerous occasions too). And have you seen Minwoo and Dongwan when they tan (like really tan)? Sometimes an apple is just an apple (no worms, no surprises, no poison, no ill-intentions).
I'm amazed at how unfazed they are by almost everything, but then I remember that they've been doing this for about 20 years and they've seen and done almost everything. My favorite part is when Minwoo offered his cheek for Junjin to kiss, but I wasn't fond of Junjin's Chinese impersonation.
Loved this, I was cracking up laughing were I had tears in my eyes and had to pause it so I could continue to watch. My cheeks hurt! Shinhwa are the best at variety they really don't need mc just a guideline and they are good to go!
eric's aegyo makes me soooo angry! lol and andy's also funny. it's amazing that even doni coni don't have anything to do lol. also, have been watching few WI after hungdon's return and it's obvious that his hiatus really benefited defcon. he used to just standing around w/saying anything. but now he actually has relevant comments.
also. shinhwa said in happy together that they're doing a show. i wonder if it's another shinhwa broadcast but haven't heard anything about that. anyone know bout it?
