Nam Joo Hyuk Shares Strong Hope To Work With Ji Soo Again

Actors Nam Joo Hyuk and Ji Soo are known to have one of the closest bromances in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview, Nam Joo Hyuk discussed their solid friendship, built on their shared worries about acting and common interests in fashion and music.

Nam Joo Hyuk, who just wrapped up his MBC drama “Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo,” said, “Ji Soo and I are same-aged friends, so we’re very well matched. We are friends on the same wavelength who typically call each other up and spend time together when we’re not working.”

After appearing on SBS’s “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo,” the actor was immediately cast as the youthful and talented swimmer Jung Joon Hyung for “Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.” Ji Soo, along with their fellow “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo” castmate Girls Generation’s Seohyun, even helped promote the drama by making special cameos. Nam Joo Hyuk stated, “I want to thank the both of them. I wasn’t able to act with Seohyun in this project, but I had a scene with Ji Soo and Lee Sung Kyung. I was really glad to meet them in a different project. It was a fun experience.”

The chemistry between Nam Joo Hyuk and Ji Soo has been witnessed through various broadcasts, from dramas to variety shows. With regards to working with his best friend again, Nam Joo Hyuk remarked, “There are many advantages when working with someone you’re comfortable with. In that respect, I strongly wish to meet Ji Soo in another project again. If there is a good project to showcase our bromance, I’m ready to accept the offer anytime.”
