I'm so glad that Nam Doo didn't turn out to be evil. There are way too many backstabbing "friends" in dramas.

Chi Hyeon's suicide felt off... the writer obviously chose the easy way. Although he turned into a mess, I'm gonna miss his scenes with Shim Chung. He was always so sweet to her. Lee Ji Hoon really elevated this character. I'm so glad that he finally got a role in a popular drama. I've been waiting for his breakthrough since School 2013.

Shi Ah and Tae Oh are so cute together.

That angst at the end is so unnecessary... just buy a house close to the seaside and live happily ever after.

eta: Lee Min Ho's kissing is still awkward lmao

It's like he's trying to eat her face... idk first Park Shin Hye and now Jun Ji Hyun. They might as well just skip the kiss scenes.

And for some reasons he always uses a weird angle, which makes me wonder if his neck doesn't hurt lmao

My most hated character in this drama remains the Dad. He turned a completely good guy to evil and left the other with so many regrets. The evil mum must be heartbroken for life (and rightfully so) since her only son last word is 'having her as a mother is a curse to him'. Poor guy -- he deserved better.

Love the twist that after all the implied scenes that hyung is a bad guy, he turned out to be the opposite. Didnt expect that esp in the flashback scenes.

Cheong most definitely erase Joon Jae's memory -- I'm so sure of that and the last episode will show how she will come back to him. But still, why her heart suddenly about to die? I mean, it is said that as long as she has someone to love her, she will be okay? Now its no longer that? Then, they could never be together even in the future. :/

The heart still dying thing makes no sense

My guess is that in order to heal completely after the gun shot and car accident she needs to go back to the sea. Se Hwa also had to return to the sea after she was tortured.

I loved the twists with Nam Joo a lot. I love being surprised.

I'm glad Cheong became more active in things since I had been worried about her being placed on the backburner when it came to putting the pieces together to protect themselves. Though I still don't get why she never got any of her own memories of her previous life. Idk is it because she's a mermaid and not human like the others? I like they way her powers were utilized but having things from the perspective of her past self would've been a nice addition.

I enjoyed these episodes a lot so Cheong's lack of her own memories and her unexplained heart issues at the end of episode nineteen are the only things that are bothering me (besides them never explaining how the little girl and Joon Jae can hear Cheong's thoughts but we've still got one episode left so I'll full on complain later if we don't get an answer).

I was bracing myself for Nam Doo's betrayal, but he turned out to be loyal and a good guy at the end, the end of ep 19 was so sad, her goodbye to Jun Jae
