Lol I'm pretty ok with it actually.. sorta. Not really into the thought of having 30 year olds in a boyband and it probs won't be a messy disbandment but t's still sad to think about since they're my ult group.

I really like the thought of solo Gyu mostly xD

ETA: I mostly just want them for like 2 more years.. but part of those 2 years will have Gyu off in the army so even that won't be too great

Honestly curious why people take it as a sign for Infinite disbanding? Isn't boys group that make more money? So with Infinite in the army Wollim will be needed new moneymaker and having more than one boy group isn't like new and unusual thing isn't?

Yeah, I mean I get why ppl think debuting a new boygroup could mean trouble for INFINITE but at the same time.. they're the group that brings Woollim whatever bit of money they have so I don't see Woollim investing money on not just one but two new groups if they didn't think they'd have some sort of stable income coming from INFINITE?

It's this + contract renewals + some of the guys have been vocal about their disdain for Woollim for quite some time. If they don't outright disband then I don't see them staying as 7. If Dongwoo and Sungyeol renew (or even get offered new contracts) I'll be legitimately surprised because Woollim hasn't done shit for either of them in years.

He's literally never said anything against Woollim. At most he's said he wants more schedules but he has been doing musicals plus INFINITE H (which is more than a lot of members in most other groups get) would probs be revived while Gyu enlists so unless he's thinking about quitting this business to start a family or something I don't see Dongwoo leaving.

Ah, thanks I follow Infinite casually and maybe something miss me. I think it's hard for male idol to struck on his own outside of idol business unless he has some mad networking skills or/plus well connected management, and I don't know how Woollim fare outside of music sphere.

Not so much issues but I've been hearing that he's been over the idol thing for a while. He wants to be radio DJ and has more interest in settling down and starting a family it seems; even more so now after the death of his father. But these are just things I've heard from various C-fans who are ~in the know~ so to speak, so take it however.

Oh and trust me, Woollim has plenty of pull. You forget they're 100% owned by SM at this point + Kim Minseok is under them and is an active actor. Sungyeol has been blocked from getting schedules since 2012. It was really bad during The Eye, I guess, since apparently he had a bunch of offers for dramas and varieties but Woollim refused almost all of them. The fact he has a drama now, announced the week before an article about their contract negotiations came out, is only a little more than convenient timing (and I think Woollim has yet to confirm or say anything about it, even though he's already filming lol).
