Four young actors to keep an eye on in 2017!

1. Gong Myung
Gong Myung made his first appearance in a drama in 2013, Gong Myung has since starred in numerous dramas, movies and miniseries.
His acting skills improved during filming the movies "If you were me", "A girl at my door", Futureless things", & "Su saek",  and has broaden his horizons with the historical drama "Splendid Politics", in the TV drama "Beautiful you", and in the miniseries "Entertainer".
In the 2016 drama "Drinking alone" he made the audience relate to his struggles of life and love.

He is currently a member of the tv-show "We Got Married" together with Jung Hye-sung. We look forward to see what he will do in 2017.

2. Nam Joo Hyuk
Next on our list is the actor that had his breakthrough in the 2016 drama "Cheese in the trap", Nam Joo Hyuk. He soon appeared on the tv-shows "Celebrity Bromance" with Jisoo, and in "Three meals a day". Joo Hyuk then starred in the drama "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" followed by the currently airing drama "Weighlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo".

In "Moon Lovers" he not only showed off his charms, he also showed his chemistry with SNSD's Seohyun.
Together with Lee Sung Kyung he is perfectly portraying the ups and downs of young love in "Weightlifting Fairy".

3. Lee Won Geun
In "Cheer up!", the slender and handsome Lee Won Geun amazed the audience with his acting. In "The Good Wife" he impressed with the portrayal of the newly hired lawyer Lee Joon Ho, and in the movie "The Net" he kept up with Korea's top actor Ryoo Seung-bum.
He was also a part of the tv-show "Celebrity Bromance" together with VIXX's N.
He is currently starring in 3 movies slotted for 2017; "Female Teacher", "In Between Seasons" and "Your Name Is Jang-mi".

4. Lee Taehwan
A member of the same group as Gong Myung (5urprise), Lee Taehwan was kept busy with both movies and other jobs in 2015.
In "Su Saek" he showed of his attention to detail when portraying his character but also his strength in powerful scenes.

In the drama "W" he made his name known to the public by portraying lead actor Lee Jong Suk's bodyguard. He is currently starring in the weekend drama "Father, I'll Take Care of You" where he's gaining attention from female fans with his diverse acting.

These four actors are our top choices for actors to keep an eye out for in 2017. They have already showed that they have what it takes to get even more popular, so we are looking forward to any and all project they do this year.

Sung Jae is on my list along with Ji Soo, it is crazy that I want to see more Jisoo but I hope he will take a break and comeback with a lead and GET the girl just because haha

It was so funny to me when I found out I stanned 5urprise members and didn't know I was stanning the other members besides Kangjoon, lol.. I've only seen 3 out of 5 in projects though, so I hope to see the other two more members often.

I newly discovered Taehwan through Father, I'll Take Care of You because it was recommend on dramabeans. Guys, he is fineeeeeee. and tall, like over 6'0 easily. I'm surprised he's only born in 1995, maybe it's the height but he seems a lot older...or maybe that's just me trying to justifying to myself why I'm crushing on a guy 3 years younger lol

the holy trifecta of nam joohyuk, lee wongeun, and jisoo, obvi. i also liked lee taehwan in w - had no idea he was in 5urprise though lmao. on that note, i would like to see seo kangjoon in more stuff. i thought about watching entourage, but i saw clips with him and sohee and it was so bad i just couldn't.

Pretty nice list~ but as pointed out earlier, Jisoo also should be added because even though he received a lot of attention this year he still has only had the main role in one mini-drama - although he was 'big' enough to make guest roll apperences in two dramas ^^

If I got to add one more person it'd be Kwak Dong-yeon - he was awesome in moonlight drawn by clouds so hopefully he'll get some interesting projects next year. Just..
why did he have to be born in '97? It's a three years difference from me so it feels weird 😕

I also liked Gong Myung and Lee Tae Hwan way back when they hadn't gotten this big and when 5urprise was still all about Seo kang joon. glad they are getting roles in dramas/movies and hope they get big this year.

njh - he's great in WF but i still need to watch more of his dramas after WF ends to really know that his acting in there wasn't a fluke - either due to good writing and/or his familiarity with lee sung kyung. cause im still not too convinced that he went from a huge change from wooden city to full on emoting with his eyes in wf.

lee won geun is another really good actor, i've liked the different sort of roles he does in dramas vs movies and it's so cute that he's close friends with my husband Jisoo <3

I tried really hard to ignore Gong Myung and LTH bc 1995 but they're both hella cute and I don't think I'll be able to hold out for much longer. LTH's face stupid gorgeous, and he looks older than his age so I can see him getting fairly popular too.

I liked NJH in WF, Mermaid Princess (with ass-grabbing Jo Boa), and Cheese but that's basically just saying that I like him in light, fluffy roles with miniminal angst. That being said, I didn't watch the last 2 eps of WF. I'm hoping he goes the slower route a la Jisoo/Kim Haneul instead of jumping into a heavier male lead position though.

Same. I mostly only like NJH in fluffy roles that don't need alot of emotional intensity. i found him alright in cheese, i think he was pretty good in scarlet heart and wf is just a 180-degree change. I really hope he goes the slow route too, but it seems like YG is very keen on pushing him further? =/ he seems to be in serious talks to play the lead in that fantasy drama and tbh i'm not sure he can pull it off. that drama doesnt seem light/fluffy.

When the news broke out about NJH being offered the lead role for the tvn drama based on the manhwa I knew in my heart that he probably couldn't handle the role yet, but I want him to succeed so badly. Glad/sad he turned it down but I'm excited to see his future projects. He will show all those doubters

I fell in love with Lee Taehwan when he was in that Seo In Guk drama High School King of Savvy or whatever, and then he was so precious in Pride & Prejudice, and then Come Back Ahjussi (that scene with Honey Lee when Rain and Oh Yeon Seo are watching porn!), then W, and now Father I'll Take Care of You. CBA was probably my fave role but he does hurt puppy really well lol. Although in his current drama you can kinda see his overacting sometimes. But whatever also give him more roles with kids bc he's SO CUTE with them. I only watched P&P because of him and the bb, I found the rest of the drama positively boring.

Lee Won Geun I've only seen in Sassy Go Go but damn he's a great actor and his smile is so infectious

Yes to everyone saying Jisoo and Kwak Dong Yeon should be on here too, they feel like my babies since I feel like I've watched them grow up too.

I am cheering for Gong Myung and Lee Taehwan! (especially because I am not really fond of Seo Kang Joon and think their company promoted him a lot).

Seeing for everything they already appeared, it's only a matter of time for them to shine.

On a side note, Jisoo and Nam Joo Hyuk will definitely become the next gen super actors, they are really good (esp Jisso).
