I wanted to try giving up coffee, but caved on the 3rd cause I was just so tired and had to make the Omona Awards voting posts. Which took literal hours out of my life to make, so I definitely needed the caffeine. lol

i go back to school next wednesday. i'm really not looking forward to it but it must be done.
i have so much to do these next few days between cramming as much chinese as possible into my head, filming/shooting for my vlog/blog thing i'm gonna start, and knocking out a bunch of scholarships
i feel myself going into a very...i don't want to say manic phase but a very energetic phase right now where i want to do everything at the same time and i'm always very tense and on edge so i'm trying to capitalize on the energy and be productive rofl

Something has been bugging me recently that I felt would be interestig to discuss with my fellow Omonians:

Is there a point at which you become 'too old' to be listening to Kpop?

I've been a Kpop follower since 2009. I recently turned 25. Now, I have issue with my age in general - I'm in my final year at uni, haven't done shit in my life so far other than being socially challenged, so I pretty much feel like I've already wasted some good years. With alot of the Kpop bands that I started out with in 09 disbanding, I've been feeling nostalgic. There are new groups debuting, but member ages keep dropping and it's making me feel weird liking groups with kiddies 8, 9, 10 years my junior? Clearly, there are still groups that don't make me feel this way.... but I'm a girlgroup stan all the way. And I'm really starting to feel how young some of these girls are and how 'infantile' the cutesy concepts are. I feel as though I'm at a crossroad because I still adore the music?!

This is something I usually don't worry about because at the end of the day it's a hobby. And why should there be an age limit on something I or anyone else enjoys. I'm 27 and still like a lot of the same things I did when I was 17 and never let it bother me because 'Hey, it's my life and what I do in my free time is my business as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.' I don't think there's some magic age where you have to suddenly stop liking stuff just because some else might think you're too old. If you enjoy it keep enjoying it until you get bored with it.

i heard the news about om puri (rip) and i'm so sad :( he's always been around since my childhood so it's so hard to believe that he's no longer alive. he was an amazing actor and i'm really going to miss seeing him in movies ;;

on a happier note, i have been more productive in the past few days so kudos to me (even if i'm doing a majority of my work at 3-4.30am)~ i think that was my only new year's resolution

i've also been watching a lot of family outing episodes/clips these past few days and ah, i wish we could get a reunion of the cast sometime soon. it'd also be nice if i could get a hyori/daesung duet in hyori's comeback album, but, anyhow, do you guys have any favorite moments from f.o? favorite episodes? their chemistry was so good, i still think it's one of the best shows ever

i've been too! i think the loss of rm is taking me back to losing fo (season 2 was a collective bad trip and didn't actually happen).

top's episode was the first i watched but it was also hilarious! the potato pancake war, jongkook's white steamed bun rap, bingu top, daesung being a nuisance
+ hwang jungmin, lee bumsoo and kim wonhee are probably my fave episodes. perhaps it was their short run, but i don't remember there being a 'boring' episode?

i can't believe i made a live journal account in 2017 and i dont regret it wow.. anyways hi omona! im new here i hope i make new mutual friends <3. anyways im going back to school on monday and im honestly not ready all (and i usually love school :() my year end projects took my soul out of my body and winter break seemed to be shorter this year which sucks but i cant do anything about it.

I've been quite productive these days after purchasing a really gorgeous planner lol, so i've been feeling quite happy checking things off my to do list.

Question - do you all have any sort of fears of getting old? Like time and life will pass you by and such? I'm about to turn 28 and suddenly I feel really old. Lol. I feel like I'm not really where I want to be yet in my career and also feel some social pressure to find a bf/get married etc but i've not been very lucky in that ha. =/

I think this is natural when you feel that you're not exactly where you're supposed to be in life. I used to have the same kinds of feelings A LOT a few months ago, when I was still jobless and had personal issues to tackle. I have found an interesting job since and the fears of getting old and everything you mentioned totally lowered for me! Maybe setting up short-terms objectives (what kind of options do you have to make your job more interesting, etc) could help you lower those fears?
And the social pressure can go to hell, you're way better single than rushing into a relationship with someone you might not be compatible with. You can try to plan dates (so far OkCupid has been allright with me, it's easier to sort people based on what they like than other apps like Tinder, but whatever fits you best!!!)and see how this goes, but don't get nervous about it :)

I'm lecturing for the first time in just over a week (I've taught seminars before, but now I'm leading my own module so I'll be lecturing as well) and I am soooo nervous but also very excited. There's only 24 students in my class so it should alright. I hope!!

Also, I am very very curious to see what Sonamoo's new song is gonna sound like.. I hope it'll be a bit more like that earlier stuff.

i never thought it would happen but i ADOPTED SEVENTEEN AS MY CHILDREN LOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't even remember how i got there but a couple of days ago i started watching seventeen's one fine day and loved it. they're so cute and funny! i knew they were talented cause they created nice which is MY SONG but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn after one fine day i clicked on highlight and i knew i wasn't gonna turn back looooool!!!! the perfomance team went off and i loved it! lemme just calm down.

Omona, I'm tired of being sick :(

I get sick all the damn time, this week has been no different. And I keep missing my dance practice because of it, I start lagging behind. I'd have been sent packing long ago were I an idol RIP

That said, I had my hair dyed yesterday, it's now a deep, dark grey, it's very LIFTED (Live at The Late Late Show w/ James Corden).



Also I spent my time watching SHINee's One Fine Day, a 10 hour travelling documentary -let's call it that- and all it made me want is to go to Japan and eat all the food.

My main goal this year is to work on my confidence and not get so anxious about work-related things - my job stresses me out a lot (I'm an engineer), but I'm determined to get a handle on myself.

Plus I want to win a Taekwondo fight - I'm going to start competing this year! I've done TKD for yoinks but never in a competitive sense, so I'm ready to go out and kick ass tbh!

I just got back to work and it's supeeeeer hard especially when you had holidays where you spent all the time playing The Sims and watching Kdramas. Thankfully I have NCT 127's new album to give me strength and life during these days, i've been playing it on repeat and don't intend to stop anytime soon. I also discovered Vromance (yes I'm late I know) and I'm loving their last release; their voices are really amazing.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

It's been a month since I've started my new job, and I'm still really happy about it, so 2017 is off to a great start for me :) It's just a bit overwhelming to go from barely nothing to So! Many! Things! To! Do! The job is demanding, I'm looking for a flat, I have so many things to check and plan and damn I'm missing quite a lot of parties/etc just because I need to sleep. Hopefully everything will be settled soon so I can breath a bit!

As one of the few resident CLC fans here, I'm so excited and nervous at the same time about their comeback soon. I wonder what kind of concept Cube is giving them, and please let it be good and well-received :(

today working the later shift again and opening tomorrow. boo. the new person they finally hired started working at our branch this week, well 2 days, cause they cought the flu, still feels like working without anyone. last night she saw next weeks schedule and kinda complained. so idk how this one is going to work out...but i hoping for the better. something needs to happen.

I got an extra long Christmas break this year so I'm still home until Sunday. It's wonderful because I love my family and we all get along great, but I always get so behind on my dramas while I'm home. Right now it's at like 18 episodes of about 5 different dramas. RIP me trying to catch up.
My dad is a teacher and is currently on his second day off school because of snow/extreme cold. It snowed 21 inches on Wednesday and it's like -20 degrees F right now 😭
