They flip flopped their opinion. At first they said that they wouldn't do it because they didn't "know" about it then an article came a while later saying that they actually knew but wanted to see the contract.

after JYPE and SME...it's pretty clear that these company will do whatever it takes to "look good" maintain "friendly family image" and put the blame on the Idols instead. SME is pretty influential...they can probably do more.

What SM did wasn't ordering them. It was requesting them to return, sure it was a threat, but it wasn't an order. Obviously they didn't go in the end. The fact that they refused to go to the concert is also true whether it was because SM didn't show them the contract or they didn't want to go.

As for the permissions, I have no idea how those work so I can't say a thing about them except that it's odd for anything like that to go through without the government doing shit... unless they just really don't give a fuck. Either way, it's highly unlikely SM would ruin their own image and look bad in China just to anger fans.

Also, where exactly does it say it was sold in September?
