edit: Listening to Sin rn, and that does sound like Jackson. Also, self hatred won and I like it. That said, it does not sound like Jackson as much on the other song imo so jury's still out. I'm not willing to take another listen so I'll believe whatever omona decides lol

Tbh I just wanted to hear the opinions of non-fans on these songs, this is like him fulfilling his R&B singer fantasy he doesn't get to explore in got7 too much. ~~Also I think these already sound better than half of got7's discography so they could take notes I'm just saying~~

I've heard theories that Jomalome is actually more than one person (like Mark, Jinyoung & Jackson together but tbh I'm mostly just hearing Jackson so idk. Also I don't get why they'd go under a speydonym like that in that case.

Sin is better than half their title tracks, if it comes down to that. I don't like the other two tracks as much though nor would I wish they'd go in this direction musically. But I consider Hey Yah their best single, where their vocal line "raps" along with their, um, rap line (??), so... based on that plus my stanning of No Jam and Just Right, I think they should tone the fun all the way up in their music (and videos).

Basically I hate the direction the got7 members actually want to take and I like the music that they want to leave behind. sad :(

I think their title tracks have mostly been pretty good, it's the rest of the album that's always kinda meh to me (tho I think Turbulence overall as an album was their best one yet, even if the production in the songs sounded a bit messy at times). I again really liked the IYD song/concept and I wish they'd go in that direction because idk if they can fully sell the Hard Carry concept for me :/ I don't want them to go back to Just Right either tho, but maybe somewhere in the middle (I don't think we're ever gonna get another Just Right tho, it seems so far removed from what they want to do music & concept wise).

Tbh same, I have such a conflicted relationship with got7's discography and the musical direction they wanna go with and the direction I wish they went with lol.

Sin is the one that kinda stuck with me after listening to these so I think it's the best one from these.

Hey Yah grew on me unexpectedly, I was totally against it at first listen but now I'm jamming to it? Lol.

I think my dislike for Fly clouds my judgement on their overall title track catalogue lol. You are right, they're mostly ok. I don't particularly care for IYD either though :/ Their fanbase is as divided as their musical output it seems, naturally.

I think this next comeback will define the sort of career they'll have and it'll be a make or break moment. In my 2017 prediction I bet on the "break" part but I hope they prove me wrong!

Hey Yah taught me that this is what I should expect from Got7 from now on on a good day:

On the bright side, maybe they will try and fill the void BIGBANG are going to leave behind and bring the next Fantastic Baby/Bang Bang Bang. Hey Yah hints to that, in a way? edit: by that I mean their music is getting just as noisy, maybe a gem will come out of it.

Their musical endeavors have been all over the place, no wonder fans have different opinions lol.

They def seem to be waiting to make the next big banger and ear worm song and with how successful Hard Carry was (I think? Lol) this might be the direction they're going with. Lmao @ Swagger Jagger don't make me question my stanning for this group like this!

There was barely a connection between Fly and Hard Carry so I hope they dump that whole thing, why build and hype up this whole concept of a storyline and then not follow thru with it? I got too excited about Fly and was let down when I watched Hard Carry :(

Lol maybe they'll figure out their image at some point. For now I'm just gonna pick apart the things I like and enjoy those and pretend the other stuff doesn't excist! (I mean with their music) #thestruggle

I blame the failure of the Flight Log concept more on JYPE tbh. I mean, during Turbulence promotional activities even the boys seemed to be clueless about a few parts of the video series and stuff?
Plus, they're slowly getting more artistic input so I have faith they might finally find their identity and make a hit once FL is over. ~~on the other side I don't think they're doing bad - comercially speaking - as some people would like to believe, but well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯~~

Ah yeah I'm not blaming the boys for this, I realize I was a bit vague in my comment but by "they" I was mostly referring to JYPE who was in charge of the concept excecution after all. I mean, like you said even the boys were just as confused as we were lol.

I do feel like they're gaining more popularity and success as time passes, even if it doesn't always show that much? And I've really liked their music now that got7 has had more input in it.

I wonder tho, since I figure we might be getting a 3rd part from FL, how they'll tie it all together (if they do lol).

i don't think any of these are title track worthy but i like that the members are writing their own stuff now. i wanna see what a Mark or Youngjae written title track would be like (since we already kind of got one from JB with Home Run)

Youngjae wrote/composed Rewind from their Departure album & Hey from Turbulence so I can def see him doing a title track in the future. And he has a SoundCloud (https://soundcloud.com/ars333ars) as well!
Mark has only taken part in writing lyrics so far iirc.

oh i know what they've all written for the albums (and i love Youngjae's songs from his soundcloud) but i want to see one of them do the next title track, is what i'm saying. their compositions have been much more enjoyable, personally, than the title tracks they've been given

and Mark co-wrote the music for Let Me and My Home too (and for See The Light and No Jam along with Yugyeom)

Oh that's right Mark has done more composing than I remembered. Tho what his musical preference and style is is still a bit unclear to me.

But looking up that SoundCloud link made me go listen to Youngjae's music again and it's so good tbh. I think a title track from him would be pretty cool.

I actually think the vocal line would have a pretty good base to have a solo (or at least JJP has a lot of fans already from before + got7). JB sounded great imo in the xmas feature he did and the few songs he sang together with Baek A Yeon on her vapp, and since he already does composing and this R&B stuff is working for him, why not?? @ JYPE.

Jinyoung or Youngjae solo would be pretty cool too (imo I feel like Youngjae is often underutilized in got7's songs, he would really shine in a solo, based on his soundcloud stuff at least)

Idk I feel like got7 has been doing fairly well with individual activities, fingers crossed it translates to more musical endeavors.
