I actually like lighting and make up style he goes for, but he's a creepo for sure. And he's one note because he shoots the same way all the time. Seriously there are so many photographers with different visions, why is this rotta guy the go to? Is it because he drums up attention? Oh wait, it's because many of the images companies portray are the "innocent youthful sexual girl" fantasy :/
Chaeyeon truly has a beautiful face. but tbh her body is weird... 0.o and i cannot identify what exactly is weird about it (long torso? short legs? unproprotionate arms?) anyway it doesn't take away from the fact that she is super pretty.
ive been seeing that chaeyeon is being molded to have that same 'innocent, but attainable' kind of concept that this guy gave sulli and it makes me uncomfortable because isnt chaeyeon super young and she doesn't even look like she really enjoys any of the shit she's always doing other than ioi #savechaeyeonandgetridofrotta
edit: she's wearing a daddy shirt but they thought they could get away with it by using her hair to cover most of it up #done
but also i find it interesting that chaeyeon gets a lot of hate for having short legs but she is always styled in a way that highlights it even more? like everyone got high-waisted stuff except her.. idt there's anything wrong with her or anyone's legs but since she gets so much hate for it you'd think her stylists would put emphasis on reducing the effect lmao
ugh she seriously gets hate for that? i mean i know she's still hailed as a visual but. its like even the slightest deviation from the ideal mold is unacceptable. i hate that about kpop culture so much i always thought her baby legs were super cute and like. not even that noticeable
yeah ia!! i feel like i've become insecure about things i never even thought about in my life because of kpop tbh like my face size / jaw never bothered me before.. but getting into it as a vulnerable, very insecure teen was probably not the best idea
it definitely can breed insecurities. :( i got into kpop well after i had already learned about feminism, but i kind of have to put that mindset aside when i consume kpop content... otherwise the whole thing would just look like one big sexist mess and "temporarily" ignoring your beliefs over time can start to really influence what you think i've considered not reading comments anymore bc seeing ppl scrutinize every female idol's appearance and voice and outfit always makes me feel like shit
same :| I got off of western celeb websites for that reason and I keep wondering if I should do the same about kpop but it's so hard to get away especially bc I live in korea and want to keep myself updated on everything ...
