Beast establishes independent label

Five-member boy band Beast announced the official establishment of their independent label, Around US Entertainment, Friday.

Around US Entertainment issued a statement via their official website reading, “With a new year marks a new start for Around US Entertainment and our artists: Yoseob, Junhyung, Doojoon, Kikwang and Dongwoon. It will mark the start of their second life and we are here to tell the loving fans about this new beginning.”

“We are grateful to CEO Hong Seung-sung and the employees of Cube Entertainment, who have created and looked after Beast.

“We are named Around US Entertainment because we wish to engage with and be closer to fans more frequently. Like our name suggests, we will attempt to create more music and content that everyone can enjoy anywhere around us.

“Our artists still have a long path to walk and have much more to do. We promise that we will do our best to provide joy to our fans. Please accept us positively, as the label and our artists walk down this path together.”

I can't knock the hustle. They got their V App and all that, too. They were quite giddy in the video, they seemed very happy. I hope it works out for them.

I am happy for them and hoping that it all works out for them. Wondering since it is a new label if eventually they will try to get other artist to join their label or if they will just keep it as the Beast members (or whatever new name they give themselves)

i'm happy for them, it's obviously a big step but they're a well-established group so i'm sure they'll be fine. my guess is they won't/can't keep the name beast? their v app intro video has no mention of the name and they were kind of stumbling over introducing themselves individually. i wonder what they would change it to
also kind of an aside, the around us logo kiiiiiind of looks cheap and dated but that's okay lol

i'm glad they were able to do this but will they be allowed to keep their name? sing their old songs? allude to anything from their past? i'm sure they could go through legal channels to allow these things but that would probably cost too much. having to start over might not work for them.

Shinsadong Tiger left a comment on one of their Insta's about how they'd be okay and wouldn't get hit with copyright issues if they re-arranged the songs, so I'm not sure if he's going to be doing stuff with them or helping them at least. Idk if scamming the system could work, even though companies literally do it everyday, lol.

Beastt? B3AST? 13EAST? BEA5T? BEEST?! Are they going to pull a XIA or are they going to come up with another weird phonetically-unrelated name? Honestly... I hope they stick to something that sounds like beast because I don't trust them not to pick a shittier name.

I don't always like what comes out of their mouths that doesn't have to do with music but I hope they continue to be successful if only to rub it all up in Cube's face.
