Coridel may be rich but i dont think they have enough power in korea. Sica is their only artist vs SM housing soshi, exo, shinee and co. No broadcast company would go against SM even if you pay them millions.
Anyone know when Krystal's contract expires? I would think she would find it difficult re-signing with SM given everything that has happened with Jessica
Someone pointed out that this could be 'cause she signed a no-compete clause when SM let her terminate her contract early, and I think that makes sense considering how easily (relatively speaking) she left the company. Apparently NCs can be for until the original contract would've expired, or just some arbitrary time period. I hope we'll see her on music shows at some point...
This is not really much of a surprise, JYJ isn't performing, none of the EX-EXO are back (though there's more to that) who left SM before their contract expired and that's been able to be on music shows?
Shinhwa is the only group I can think of that has done stuff while being "formerly of SM" Stephanie would be the closest but SM had her contract until May 2016, has she done anything sense?
stephanie's guested on a few random variety shows since she left sm. but beyond that: past members of h.o.t that left sm are still doing stuff, and fly to the sky have as well. and jang nara.
Not surprised in the least, but still in awe of SM's shameless ability to hold grudges. Lee Soo Man clearly has no class, or he would have put a stop to this pettiness. I know the argument would be that "it's just business" but when you've got as much money as SM does they can afford to be minimally graceful. I bet the only reason why they didn't try the same smear campaign against her that they did with Hangeng, JYJ, the exodus kids is because they knew it'd backfire and damage SN8D.
Really proud of Jessica for doing so well on her own and hope she continues to piss off the SM suits with her success.

I've seen that argument too and I'm like so?? Plenty of things have been done in the name of "business" doesn't make it any less shitty. But you're right about SM having so much money, when people say she'd be a competitor, it's like ok she's only one artist against their whole roster.
Why cant she be allowed to preform on music shows if that is the case?? Like wtf??? If Jessicas removal from the group was all her doing and not anyone elses' then why would SM care enough to stop her from doing anything music related especially when they let her go so easily. There's more to the story than Jessica 'leaving' the group in my opinion. 😠😠😡😡
