Happy Friday everyone! Every week I go through the charts for this Friday in the past and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going back to the 2nd Friday in 2008.

#3 Big Bang “Sunset Glow”
Although I liked “Lies” and “Haru Haru”, this is when I fell in love. I still remember the first time I heard this, and the first time I saw them perform this on MBC 8 years ago. I was obsessed for weeks, and today it remains my absolute favorite Big Bang song. Now this MV will make me cry because these babies are all grown and leaving me.

#2 Kara “Pretty Girl”
This isn’t my favorite song off the album, but I remember still liking this song A LOT. I feel like it did really well, too. I haven’t thought of it in forever, but by the end I was singing along and doing the choreography along with them. Cutesy bubblegum pop Kara is so damn catchy.

#1 Baek Ji Young “Like Being Shot By A Bullet”
Halfway through the first verse I threw myself dramatically down on my desk because that is the appropriate response to this DAMN ICONIC Baek Ji Young track. And then the chorus kicks in, and all the feels start rushing into my cold heart. Ugh, so good.

Honorable Mention

#4 SS501 “UR Man”
I remember the chorus and its choreography the most, the backward toe tap thing lol. I’ve forgotten how sharp and pointy the hair was back then, good Lord.

#7 TVXQ “Wrong Number”
I really liked the choreography for this! Don’t remember much of the MV, except for the chorus part where they’re dancing. I think I remember the lives more.

I was thinking the same thing about Got7 the other day. They did a self-shot music video of one of their old songs and they repeat "everybody wanna makes that noise" and I was like "Imagine I'm Mark, English is my first language, and this is our debut release. Do I say something? Would they listen?"

But Kara's mistake was so blatant and a pretty big song. I wonder how she felt saying it over and over.

I will always find Wrong Number superior over Mirotic (even if I was a crying mess then when they came out with Mirotic lmao I'm sorry okay I was 16). And their MKMF performance for Wrong Number was one of my favourites omg.
