Synopsis: This drama tells the love story between the son of a Joseon noble family named Dam Ryung and a mermaid named Shim Chung. She finds herself transplanted to modern times. She is caught by Heo Joon Jae, a charming but cold con artist who is the doppelgänger for Dam Ryung. In the present time, Joon Jae works with Jo Nam Doo, a skilled conman who guides Joon Jae to become a genius scammer. Joon Jae’s friend, Cha Shi Ah, who works as a researcher at KAIST, may be Chung’s only hope for surviving in her strange new world.

that little girl is adorable, i hope we'll get more scenes w/ her. can she read shim chung's thoughts, b/c she's got a pure and innocent heart or is just a fateful connection between these two souls?

are shim chung and joon jae stuck in an endless loop of tragedy and reincarnation until they finally get their happy ending?

i'm glad that the plot is finally developing, though i love the lighthearted and funny moments.

I don't know if it is supposed to be a deep drama, but I feel like it's not taking itself too seriously and I've loved it until now.

I'm really enjoying but I feel like I'm getting more questions than answers in regards to lots of stuff?

Knowing that the past storyline is parallel to the present one is the only thing I find helpful. Idk the connection between these two parts of the story isn't working well for me and I'm scared it's never going to fully since now they've tossed in this new "I see hear dead people mermaids" thing (I do like that the little girl is back though because she's so cute). Are they just going to sprinkle in new things everytime I get a leg up on how things align/work?

It's probably me being over analytical since obviously they have to keep shit interesting but it was something that was bugging me/making me worried.

i really like that the narrative is structured in parallel storylines. i'm not sure i need it to align 100% (where the sageuk part answers all my mermaid folklore questions or foreshadows all the events happening in modern times). i think tonally or thematically, i want them to get to a similar point in the end.

ep 6 is gold. that scene with jjh and the mom at the hospital, when she asks if the mom would like her memories erased - that scene got to me this week.

this show isn't addictive but it's a really satisfying watch and i feel that it's getting better.

Usually I can't stand LMH, but here he's fine. JJH is perfect though. She is so funny, but not over the top. (And soooooo gorgeous.♥_♥)
There are some loopholes, that's true, but in general the script is better than in most of the dramas I've tried to watch lately, but had to drop.

Jun Ji Hyun is Queen, Goddes, Gorgeous, even with those used clothes, she can wear anything and will look gorgeous no matter what
