The con man meets his match in "Oh My Geum-bi"

Oh Ji-ho (My Little Baby) stars as a hapless swindler who turned to a life of crime when he lost his sense of smell and had to give up on his dream of becoming a chef. He’s pretty bad at actually conning people though, and it’s not until he’s in prison that he finds out that he has a ten-year-old daughter named Geum-bi, played by child actress Heo Jung-eun (Moonlight Drawn By Clouds, Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul-ho).

Geum-bi is a strong-willed little girl who decides to fix her wayward father’s life, but there’s a tragic turn when she’s diagnosed with Niemann-Pick disease type C, and begins to rapidly deteriorate mentally and physically. The rare disease is referred to as “childhood Alzheimer’s,” and despite the sad premise of watching such a young girl lose her memories, the drama promises to be an uplifting, cheerful story about family, and not a melodramatic tearjerker.

Oh My Geum-bi follows On the Way to the Airport and premiered yesterday, November 16.

A clueless father trying to reconnect with his sick daughter? Count me in, even if I might turn into an emotional mess. The child actress most recently played Park Bo Gum's baby sister in Moonlight Drawn By Clouds.

idk why my brain thought of "1 Litre of Tears" cuz the stories aren't even remotely similar except for the tragic childhood disease part.... but that's what I thought of.

She looked soo big with a modern clothing and short hair. I think I will definitely check this out since melodrama has always been my favorite genre.

I love all Bogum's scenes with her in MDBC. It was brief but definitely very cute. :3

With a plot like that, I think I'm still going to cry. I was interested when they announced this drama so I have expectations, but I hate crying. But I'm looking forward too all those cute and loving scenes between father and daughter.
