Synopsis: Kim Je-Ha (Ji Chang-Wook) is former solider for hire. He is also called K2. He is hired as a bodyguard by Choi Yoo-Jin (Song Yoon-A). Choi Yoo-Jin is the wife of a presidential candidate (Cho Seong-Ha) and the daughter from a chaebol family. Meanwhile, Ko An-Na (Yoona) is the secret daughter of the presidential hopeful. She is also a recluse.

With the recent conclusion of tvN’s “The K2,” actor Ji Chang Wook sat down for an interview and talked about working with Girls’ Generation’s YoonA.

When asked about his chemistry with YoonA, Ji Chang Wook replied, “We shared a lot of stories. To be honest, the final kiss scene shown in the drama was actually the first thing we filmed when we were filming overseas. We were notified about the kiss scene after we arrived at the Barcelona airport. A clear script hadn’t been released, and the writer only gave us the situation. I was so taken aback that I said ‘Let’s become close as soon as possible.’ We had to become close as soon as possible because of the kiss scene. We talked a lot about the drama as well as our own stories, values, hobbies, and even our philosophies on life. Because of that, we quickly became close.”

The actor also talked about YoonA’s acting, saying, “She’s a member of Girls’ Generation, and idol-turned-actors tend to be met with a certain prejudice. When we met for the first time as partners, I tried my best to avoid seeing her through a certain lens. I saw her as my partner, my co-star. Because I didn’t see any of her previous works, I was able to do that. I just saw her as Anna and YoonA.”

i'm too lazy to write a cohesive comment, but i had a love/hate relationship w/ this drama. the final two episodes were surprisingly good. nonetheless, the mystery about uhm hye rin's death and all the political backstabbing kept me interested.

i liked the action scenes (even if they were ott) and yoona's and jcw's visuals made me ignore the bad writing. their bts chemistry is cute.

the writer unfortunately dropped the ball on anna and jeha. their character development was abysmal and i had hoped that anna would become a hamlet like character thirsty for revenge. hell, she cried out for bloody murder in the second episode.

song yoon ah was the highlight of this drama. i didn't root for her like many vocal viewers on dramabeans, but she fascinated and disgusted me.

lee jung jin should've been given more scenes. his micro expressions were brilliant. the way he switched from childish tantrum throwing to manipulative ceo was amazing.

it was quite a drag in the middle. i wasnt here for all the CHOI YOO JIN IS A QUEEN comments from everyone so she really started to annoy me at some point.

i was surprised by how much i liked the finale. everything came together nicely and it was well done imo

mte. all these annoying comments "yaas queen" actually made me dislike her. i had to stop reading them.

that final scene in barcelona was beautiful, ngl i rewatched it a few times

yeah i feel like people stopped realistically looking at how evil the character was because she was played by song yoonah. at one point people genuinely started hating jeha for "backstabbing" her so him and anna could be safe. what???

ia they weren't able to distungish between song yoon ah and choi yoo jin.

people became so irrational and they had a double standard. yoo jin was praised for her evil deeds and jeha who "betrayed" her was the bad guy according to them. tbh their delusion gave me a good chuckle.

I watched this drama without watching it tbh, but I found myself involved with Jeha and Anna's love story because I found them so cute and the ending in Barcelona was the death of my poor hopeless romantic heart. I liked their chemistry and the plot in itself was more like a background noise for me.

Putting drama aside, the soundtrack (score rather than actual songs) might be the best thing that happened to me this year.
Not sure if anybody else is a instrumental music junkie, but that is some good music composing there ;)
