I'm north of the border so I haven't been actively keeping up with the elections or been objectively informed on the candidates. my first instinct is to say "not Trump" but my Twitter timeline is also full of very liberal Canadian young adults so it doesn't really help on getting an objective view on either candidate.

Trump things putting Muslims in camps like we did to the Japanese-Americans in WW2 is a reasonable idea, has white supremacist leaders in his advisory team, threatened to back out of our NATO treaties, wants to only nominate a Supreme Court justice who promises to overturn abortion rights, and goes on trial for child rape tomorrow. That's just off the top of my head.

I dislike Hillary's foreign policy, but she would have been status quo, which means the general trend for more protections for poc and lgbtq and the disabled would have continued.

I am absolutely terrified come January. Legit shaking and crying for our future tonight. I was stuck at the airport as the first results started coming in and I could not believe it. All those red states lighting up, my God, I was numb. The night goes on and everything feels so surreal.

My state also legalized recreational marijuana (thank god cause we're gonna need it now more than ever), and we're still waiting on results for the porn stuff. Do other states vote on porn stuff too?

I have been literally crying the whole night (dammit hormones)
I cannot believe Trump won, I feel like an idiot, like my country was taken from me.
And I feel so much shame for my fellow latino/poc who voted for Trump. I am so sad.

I refuse to go back to the US now, I am scared for what can happen to me now that the shit Trump did through the while campaign has been basically accepted and normalized. I am scared about my safety and my son's safety because we are not white passing and all these white racist folks are coming out of hiding for real and they just don't give a fuck now.

The Obamas did an amazing job, that's why white america wanted to make sure us pocs specially brown and black folks knew our place, they made sure we never forget white supremacy is alive and well even if we had a black president who did AMAZING things for our country, who was loved and respect by so many people and world leaders.

I am not sure about other minorities, but latino voters where out there making sure this evil cheeto incarnation didn't win, with historical numbers of register voters coming out and making their vote count, yet we have all these white lower income people mostly from rural areas, coming out to vote also in historical numbers in years. Trump won because he made sure he pandered to the uneducated, bigoted white men and women with his speeches full of rage, talking about bringing jobs back to these areas when the piece of orange shit won't even use US labor for his own businesses.

The world is imploding because AmeriKKKa is a shithole of white supremacy and apparently we don't give a fuck.

And don't get me started about 3rd party voters, those fuckers were so fucking selfish they didn't care about the consequences, whiteness is a hell of a drug.

I am currently living between the US and Mexico, and gosh is this election fucking over Latin America (especially Mexico). I fear for the whole world so hopefully things won't be too insane even though markets are showing signs of cracking rn,
