I really don't trust Diplo so his co-sign on her doesn't make me feel good. I do wish her the best though. And this did offer a bit of insight into her plan of integrating into the United States as a musician.

But... the Wonder Girls got my American ass into K-Pop. So. Pfft.

Dean is probably the most likely to gain an audience outside of the k-pop crowd imo. His image/music doesn't seem contrived, and he seems sure of who he is as an artist. That + his friendships with people like Anderson .Paak would help.

I do love Eric though, he's such a sweetheart with such passion for what he does. I don't follow him too closely but he just seems so genuine.

I'm still salty that his US dates got cancelled because of that shady-ass Nadia bullshit (and weather)

I don't get what CL meant when said," there isnt a pop star representing all girls out here." Does she mean Asian girls in America or girls in America peroid. If it's former than she is right, but if it's the latter, I don't see how a foreigner can repsent American girls.

Other than that this was a cool piece.

edit: I watched the video again and what she said was that there is there isnt a pop star representing all girls (including Asian girls) and she want to be the one representing them (the Asian girls).

Eric and Dean are some of my absolute favorites, Dean especially. I love Erics personality but Deans music is just incredible. Ive been craving some good rnb and dean delivers.

I am not sure how CL will do in the Hip-Hop scene is the USA. I don't really follow it even though I am in the USA I probably know more Hip-Hop Korean stars then the USA.

Dean I have listen to a few times but I think he may have to learn English if he wants to get far, he will be like all of the other Korean acts that come over he will get a following but I don't see him breaking out unless he speaks some English.

I keep saying over and over to myself the one's I think that could make it in the USA are Eric and Ailee if they have the right song and meet the right people. Since they are from the states and speak English it would be to their advantage. They just need the right song. I think the USA has a long way to go and I don't know why it is since it is a diverse country but they are correct when they say there are not any Asia singers that have made it big that I know of. Editing my own post forgot to add Jay Park could most likely make it in the USA if he tried. The type of music he does I listen to on the radio. I could see his songs playing if they were in English. (Yes I know he does some English songs but I don't think he had tried to break out in the USA recently).

Being from the USA I know we have a lot of Hip-Hop, and other singers from the states, but a lot of the groups and singers that are played on the radio are not all of the states some are from other countries Canada, England etc, the common thread they all have is they sing in English. I am still amazed that Psy got so well known and was played on the radio station. Once in a while there is a break out song that is from another language that will get played on the radio but that is very rare.

I'm just glad more Korean groups are coming over and doing concerts.
