my notes on this ep (spoilers!):

- gdi that game was hard to watch. macho is super annoying and needs to acknowledge that he messed up big time. like how do you get 12 wrong and then later be like oh i only got 4 or 5 wrong like???? the ppl on this program are not stupid lol
- WHY did they have to kill chickens omg i would have thrown up/just ate potatoes like hael
- interesting elimination choice, but for the best probably since he wasn't feeling well. but the tension is still running high from the oliver vs macho drama...
- helloooo steven lee. i didn't even notice him before this ep because too many contestants lol. now i'm gonna be sad when he gets eliminated for lack of eye candy :(

The dice game was so frustrating! I got so mad at Macho when he claimed that he wasn't the only who messed up as much as he did, and had the gall to say that he was the only one taking responsibility for his mistakes by admitting and "apologising" for getting "4-5" wrong. Like holy shit you single-handedly added 60kg to your group!
Initially I disagreed with the elimination choice because I dislike Macho (he needs to pay! Plus he doesn't contribute to the group at all.) and I didn't want to lose my eyecandy. But now, yeah I see where he's coming from because Jaehyuk was just so invisible the whole time.
Also also MJ continues to be awesome!

WOW i'm so annoyed. contrary to most people, i'm solidly on oliver's side since i think he's the only one being upfront about things. if nopdong can't win any games, there's no point trying to play buddy buddy with one another. they should cut off the weak links, aka obviously macho in this game. jaehyuk may have had no presence, but he wasn't actively hurting the group, so i'm pretty frustrated with heejun.
there's not much to say about madong other than the fact that i hope things get shaken up next episode. i warmed up to sangguk after seeing him cry during eliminations, but honestly, i'm not that invested in madong's storyline right now. there are some people i want to see take more initiative next episode rather than just passively sit around and let sangguk lead them.
side note: the time i wasn't frustrated to death was when madong were checking out byungkwon's muscles. the gulping sound effects the editing added killed me

im kinda fine with the elimination. do i wish it were macho? absolutely. it frustrates me that his incompetence, misogyny (he's soooo insecure next to mj), and machinations are going unpunished. i do think jaehyuk would have been in the first 4 from nopdong to be cut tho so eh, sooner or later he was going to be eliminated. (Also i didnt like him on korea's next top model. he was snobby and bitchy there.)

still dont like sangguk, he gives a slimy feel. gonna root for haesung and his underdog group bc an unchanging dictator is boring.

i'm supporting nopdong atm with mj and the cute maknae. they should take over. macho was really annoying and i had hoped he would be eliminated but if jaehyuk wasn't feeling well it's for the best. i'm getting really annoyed with oliver

Damn the game was painful, I had to fast forward through. Pharoh and I are never on the same wavelength lol bc a 2 day alliance would not have stopped me from being peeved at Macho if I'd been in his position.

Oliver def grew on me this week. He's so obvious and single-minded, it's funny. I was hoping his secret English discussions w Heejun would lead to an interesting alliance between them but Heejun's probably ruined that now. Not sure that it was a smart choice considering Macho is overall more dangerous/useless/annoying but props for surprising everyone. Anyway, I think it's time for the girls of Nopdong to rise.

Nopdong is still by far the more interesting team to me. I do like Haesung tho and kind of curious to see what Hael does in the coming eps. Sangguk is just so extra all the time.

Trueeee girls in Nopdong should rise as Jiwon have brain and MJ got the physical strength. Insung could cover the dexterity and thats basically all you need to final. Or at least emphasize to the rest of Residents that they ain't gonna be dragged into their agenda

Idk that Insung has much dexterity (it's such a weird non-category at the moment tho) but she has potential wrt the social aspect. I'm glad the girls of Nopdong seem to be banding together early bc the dudes are all kind of a mess lol, they could def take power if they wanted to.

The production team prob thinking what lies between brain and muscle so they add dexterity lol i think its smth that can be trained quicker than physical and brain but I might be wrong.

Now that nopdong left with 9 people, 3 alliances sounds possible (now I'm making things up on my head)

I still haven't been able to finish the episode because macho pissed me off so much.. like you didn't get only a few wrong.. you got freaking eleven wrong! do not try to put the blame on others.. and it was easy questions, after first few mistakes you should realize that you have to answer on your own and not do it by looking at the others movements or dice.. so freaking annoying. gonna finish the episode tomorrow when I am not this annoyed lol

- I mean, I understand that Macho needs to downplay his mistakes if he wants to stay alive, but watching his interviews it really seems like he doesn't think that they lost because of him. he got like 12 questions wrong, and pretty much doubled their starting weight all by himself in the beginning. And damn, dude is unflexible in his thinking. everyone else thought for themselves that it is better to abandon their strategy, whereas Macho didnt gwt it until half the game was over.
- MJ stays the best.
- I like how in both camps the women are supporting each other. Please eliminate a man (or two) next episode.
- Park Hael was really good in planting doubts in Seolhwa's mind, i hope we get to see more of that.
- I still can't distingiush the 5ish dudes, that are all kind of handsome, have short black hair and muscles and are around 30. But that sixpack today and the absolute gusto of the camera filming it was hilarious and hot.
- I liked Jaehyuk after I watched this BTS:

- I can't with Sangooks theatrics, dude, stop crying about people you've known for two days. Can't wait till there is a rebellion.He and Asol think they are so smart with the 0$ for Asol, but everyone knows about their allience now. I hope Seolhwa ditches the two asap.
- Started to like Oliver this episode, his scheming is entertaining because it's so obvious lol. And at least he does a lot of work (as well as hold his own during the games) and didnt hesitate when it was about who had to kill the chicken. much better than in madong, where it seems like the chicken had to unnecessarily suffer because they couldn't kill it right away. And him talking in english is the same thing i do with my sister when i don't want people to understand me haha.

Macho prob thinking 4-5 bcs he didnt count the time where he was late to give answer but either way I wont give him any excuse. The question was easy just roll the damn dice. And anyone see the preview where macho talk to olliver? Ughhhhh

Im soften up to olliver bcs now I can see where he come from. And him being obvious just make this show more interesting. Wishing for some english speaker alliance but nope, heejun just ruin it all.

Things need to be shaken in Madong. Hael should pull some strings. And I guess seohyun also have potential bcs in ep1 her hashtag was #betrayal hmmm I need to see some of that.

You get some lose some. In nopdong is all about dramas, while madong less drama more jokes.

Also, can they all stop being sexist assholes by downplaying MJ all the time??? I wish she would kick some asses, if only she wasn't the cinnamon roll she is.
