They are! Yuri said she's working on her solo for next year.

I think another reason Taeyeon does more singing things is because she's known as a vocal, plus Taeyeon said that she would rather be super busy than at home. She said she gets lonely without schedules. Also, she's a really easy cash cow.
Although, I'm not sure if she has the record anymore, for STATION she had the most downloaded song. She's an easy $$$$$$ maker.

They've all had solo opportunities. Yul and Seohyun are preparing for solo debut; Hyoyeon got that weird Station song; Yoona with one Station song as well, plus her Chinese cover songs.

The only ones who don't seem to be interested in solo material (album wise) are Sunny and Sooyoung, which is a shame.

Sunny is getting back into musicals at least.

Sunny looks like she's tired of the entertaining industry, musicals are a much better fit for her. I just watched her last appearance on Happy Together and she had a blank face whenever the camera wasn't focusing on her, not like she wasn't enjoying herself (she had funny moments!), but more like "Idgaf I'm too old for this shit". Even if she gets a solo someday, she'll probably not want to promote it like Tiffany did (by performing on music shows and picking a few variety shows).

Sunny seems like she goes in and out of phases. I remember she was saying that before doing Grandpa Over Flowers? I believe she was just worn out and didn't want to go on variety shows, but then someone suggested so go on the show and how it renewed her or something.

I'm glad she did something like Roommate because I think she does well on something where she gets to be natural and not always have to be super bubbly. Also, she seemed to enjoy her radio show a lot. I think that fits her well.

There are rumors about Seohyun having a full solo mini-album for a little while now, I think the original rumors were lining her up after TTS but Tiffany's scandal might have pushed it back, and Seohyun along. And she's busy with her drama now. She has been talking about composing songs since Party promotions (same time as Tiffany), given how picky SM is with self-composition, it might be a reason why it took so long.
I always felt like the Pantene advertising contract paired with a Seohyun/Yuri duo was some kind of spoiler for Sones. They're such an odd pairing, it doesn't make much sense apart from announcing them as the two members lined up for a solo debut.

Taeyeon has probably had more solo work because singing is her sole focus - other members have been really into acting and variety too, therefore putting solo's on a sidetrack.

I would say Tiffany is also big on solo work, but hers has been slower because she's been pickier and more into working in English.... plus she had her scandal, which effectively ended any follow ups to her solo mini for now.
