i love streetstyle so much. i love seeing the way people express themselves like this and they always look cool in these kind of pics too. plus it's a great way to get inspiration for looks i'll never wear/pull off lol

i completely agree! even though i've never met any of these people on these instagram accounts (and i probably never will) by seeing how they express themselves in their physical appearance and clothes you get kind of a sense of who they are and what the interests are.

This summer I'm all about pretty and colorfull dresses, maxi skirts, big shirts, shorts, moccasins, platforms, ballerinas, the usual sandals and my eternal love: Converse.

this isn't directed at the people you posted, op, but sometimes i get tired of fashion bloggers/street style photogs because they just post people who spend money on trendy brands, but really don't have any individuality.
i follow this person: https://www.instagram.com/solsolstreet/ (they're in south africa right now, but they usually post seoul photos). they post a lot of foreigners in seoul, too, instead of just trendy apgujeong kids so i like them.

OP here, just wanted to say i'm really happy people are supportive of this idea! i really love street fashion even though i wear mostly Hawaiian shirts, jeans, and boots (i blame this on being an anthropology major lol). I will definitely be making weekly posts from now on as long that is alright with mods! also if anyone has any blogs or sns to recommend that would be great so more photographers/bloggers could be spotlighted!

i'm very excited to start submitting more posts like these!

Street style is fun to look at but 95% (arbitrary number) aren't actually dressed this uniquely. When I was in seoul this past year the fashion was very homogenized. I swear it was mostly oversized shirts × skirts. That's not to knock the style shown here. I guess it's similar to how people would photograph unique, fashionable looks in New York when most people would be wearing casual jeans and shirts.

It is probably because I don't "get" fashion or because my own style is so very simple (jeans, t-shirt, cardigan - almost a carbon copy of Jessica's airport style!) but all these looks are just so ugly to me.

I think fashion should be about what you like to wear and what looks good on your body but nowadays people look up to certain people to tell them what is hot/not and go with that. I guess some people can pull it off but most can't. When I walk around my city I see a lot of girls being very awkward/uncomfortable with what they are wearing all for the sake of fashion.

That being said, I usually really like what Korean girls wear in general on the streets where they keep the clothes simple but glam it up with shoes/bags and accessories.
