Yeah I'm surprised how much it's bothering me this era especially since it's just mindless pop and I've never had a problem with it before. I've loved Twice for awhile and I'd really like them to improve their vocal and their performances because if they just fixed that they'd be even more amazing. It's just hard for me to make excuses when they can barley keep up vocally with groups like Gfriend or RV.

Also I wish they had more intricate dances because I feel like they're wasting Momo T_T

The good news is that they have a distinct sound that the public will like, they're good on variety, and they have the stability of being a Big 3 group to fall back on.

I really like TT. But the mini as a whole is not my taste. Was hoping for more upbeat bops like Touchdown but TT will be in heavy rotation all month. It's so addictive. And the stage is cute too!

She honestly has a great voice. Out of all the girls Her, Nayeon, and Jihyo have the strongest vocies. You're right about her tone and it seems like she would have a good range as well.

Everybody is so disappointed or don't get why they're so successful and I'm like TT JUST LIKE TT. They deserve their success and doesn't matter how many special stages they do, they will never be able to change people's mind that they have very talented idols, some are the whole package like Nayeon, Jungyeon, Jihyo, some are dancers like Momo, Mina, others win with their charm and star potential as Sana, Dahyun, Tzuyu and there's Chae who composes her own raps and always sing when she has an opportunity. As a group their weaknesses may show because one have what the other doesn't but they always win by being humble, relatable, fun and genuine. Maybe they aren't everyone's taste, but they are learning with time to appeal to an even bigger public. Most of them are barely legal and sing about stuff that concerns their very cute world. Maybe later, when they try a more challenging concept they'll shine even more or maybe not, we don't, know. What I know is that I'll on board for it.

i didn't notice how ugly jihyo's dress was in the mv but it really bothered me while i was watching the performance. they continue to have zero charisma and stage presence but the song has grown on me. however, i'd like it even more if mina, sana and momo had less lines, their voices are somi-level unbearable for me and there's three(!) of them, god.

i'd love to see them outsell got7, it almost makes me wanna order their mini lmao (i'll probably end up doing it anyway cause imo it's their best album so far and they always have cute packaging)

Mte... I totally get some of the criticisms but like I said in an earlier comment, it's easy to forget they've only been around for one year since they have achieved so much in a rather short amount of time. It was easier to forgive their shortcomings when they were still new and middle-of-the-road, but now they're breaking records left and right and I guess that makes people put them on a higher pedestal? Idk.

From the Cheer Up promotions til' now, Twice hasn't rested once and they have been doing non-stop promotions in the weeks leading up to this comeback; so if anything, I'm relieved that their choreo is easy and simple.

On the subject of Oh My Girl tho, hasn't Mimi already co-written a lot of their songs?

idec i love the song (well mostly) and they look cute. jeongyeon is criminally underused. i love the concept they were going for w the oversized sweatshirts since it's november but the execution on some of the girls is really not working

but what is up with all the crotch and breasts touching moves, that's the one thing that ill never get used to with kpop and it seems to be moves that are commonly used

TT grown on me so much, it's been playing on repeat in my head!
The choreo is underwhelming, Like Ooh Ahh (and some choreos for their special stages) was much more interesting. I'm sure they could put their better dancers (Mina and Momo of course, Tzuyu and Jihyo can do well too) in the front to add some more complex moves from time to time. Or more interesting formations.
Anyway I'm so happy for them that they're so successful!
There isn't much hope for a break with that "Lane 1" and "To Be Continued" promise but hopefully they'll be able to rest after that.

obv this is an open forum and if you're not flat out insulting them then i get (and kind of welcome) the criticism

but where were you guys when groups like kara (who i unabashedly stan) were making hit after hit. they're obv solidifying their fanbase with this album so granted, their current musical direction may not be everyone's cup of tea. and then the comments that question their popularity... it's pop music lmao. there's no definitive answer to the success of a pop artist bc there are so many different factors -- sometimes ones that don't even make too much sense

all of the "i like them, but..." comments just convince me that you tried to like them and that it didn't work out so you just HAVE to comment about why *it didn't work out for you in every twice post. i get it but you guys were all over the last post lol did you really have to flock to another achievements post to do this again

This post was the showcase. Obviously we're gonna watch and comment if we stan them. Especially if I want to see the full choreography. So your last sentence doesn't even make sense. All I'm really getting from this is that you're literally not allowed to critique twice at all here. And if you do, then "you're not a stan". I said practically the same in another post lol I'm fine with them doing this for now but I can't (and don't want to) picture Twice being almost 30 years old and doing something like "Party".
What also scares me is the fact that SNSD seems to be more popular with those concepts and that's why do them more than things like "Catch Me If You Can" or "You Think".
Praying that in the future Twice can change the concept without losing the fans.
