BEAST (MIGHT) PULL A SHINHWA, LEAVE CUBE ENT, TO SET UP OWN LABEL #FREEBEAST

Boy group BEAST might be planning to start their own independent agency.

On October 15, after BEAST’s seven-year contract with Cube Entertainment officially ended, a report revealed that the members discussed their options and decided to start their own agency.

According to multiple sources, while BEAST is very grateful for the agency debuting the group and helping them establish a foothold, they want to set up their own agency as a new challenge for themselves.

Usually, the discussions regarding the contract happen six months before the termination date, but BEAST and Cube Entertainment have not renewed the group’s contract as of October 16 KST.

BEAST’s contract has been receiving attention since the beginning of the year. There has yet to be an official statement from Cube Entertainment.


Update October 16 KST:

On October 16, Cube Entertainment spoke with Top Star News in regards to BEAST’s contract.

The agency spoke of the contract, saying, “In regards to the contract renewal, we’re still in the process of discussing. We have not received any information, therefore we are in a situation where we cannot speak on the matter.”

Tbh, it seems pretty obvious they are/Were not gonna renew. When you look at their latest insta/twitter messages for their 7th anniversary, they always talk about the future as Beast members and not the usual "I'll keep on working to show you a better image".

Haha I almost wish they would all leave together and he would rejoin Beast just for the shitstorm it would cause but it seems impossible from what we know of his departure. Idk if he's better off staying with cube or not though

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he rejoined, but I think the chance of that happening is only if BEAST pulls a Shinhwa

Like I know the members had issues, but if they're their own company it'd be much easier to express musical differences without CUBE constricting them to one sound/style per promo

I wonder if any of them know the Shinhwa men well enough to ask for help --- or Block B's people, for that matter, since they basically did the same thing.

If Hyunseung stays, how long until a Troublemaker comeback, do you think? Because they're running out of moneymakers.

i wish them the best of luck in this. i think it takes a lot of guts to set up their own company. i had wanted dbsk to pull a shinhwa years ago. i hope it works out for them!

At least I wasn't off base with my thoughts. I may have my feelings about past behaviors, but I don't wish bad on any idols in a situation like this, even though it seems like they have a lot of pull. Especially since Cube curved their top money makers (4M) and only are left with one person who pulls in cash (Hyuna....and also BTOB since they do pretty well in Japan). I hope whatever decision they make is best for them.

As for Hyunseung, I don't get good vibes with him staying at Cube. I'm still very surprised at the thought of the company offering contract renewals for him as part of the group, too.

I thought Beast created their own label Beast Music for Japan releases. So it wouldn't surprise me if they created their own label for Korea. Wishing it would be all 6 of them in the group. I love Beast no matter what and their music, During Ribbon I just kept waiting for Hyunseung to sing.

I hope the group gets through this and finds a way to stay together, Cube has been a mess all around and I don't blame them for wanting to gtfo. Plus they only have a couple years before army anyway.

Shame Hyunseung can't rejoin them.
