After School Club Host Jimin Park received a slew of hate comments & tweets after last week's episode with GOT7. The show decided to address this by letting viewers vent their frustrations through a pre-show segment with the hashtag: #ASC_meantweets, while the hosts themselves explained their situation via their usual pre-show V Live.

She gets hate every time there is a boy group on ASC because she ~dares~ to interact with the members.
And I blame GOT7 for the mess this time. I miss Eric, he could discipline them.

2. Yes, there are at least four fandoms that made me blacklist certain tags and use youtube much less (especially comments section).

I really feel bad for her. She was just trying to do her job, as were the other hosts, it's just that she comes on too strong when it's groups that she's close with. I don't think she's gotten this much hate though. They haven't had to address it on the show before.
As for Eric... I prefer his more subdued but still goofy personality on We Got Married. haha I'm loving Jae as his replacement so far.

I haven't finished Ailee's ep! I kept feeling bad every time Jimin would call herself a knife.. haha I'm excited for next week's though! Pentagon will be guesting!

I've never mean tweeted anyone because what's the point? I'll never understand fandom culture especially when it gets to an unhealthy point of threatening someone's life over a kpop group -_-

I actively avoid fandoms of my favorite groups (SONES, Army's, Exo-ls) unless they're being extra(constantly) I only have a few friends that I gush about them to. Shawols haven't been too bad but that's only when people don't try and call out members if they fuck up.

Never tweeted hate, what's the point? You can scroll on by and move on with your day without getting obsessed and sending hate messages etc.

As for fandoms, I'm not really bothered because I tend to stick to myself and maybe a few online friends to talk about kpop with, I'm nearly 30 ain't nobody got time for this shit LOL. Sometimes I enjoy reading the drama for sillier issues, but mostly I don't bother to go near tumblr tags unless it's just to reblog pic and gifsets.

ASC is a live show with segments, so the pd-nims and the hosts have to try to keep things happening on time. Got7 were uncontrollable and rowdy in the last ep, probably because they're close to the hosts and comfortable on the show. Jimin, being the closest to the group and the most outspoken of the hosts, ended up having to be the one taking control of the situation. She's very blunt though, being so close to the guests, so she would cut them off sometimes. Which the fans didn't like. So they sent her a lot of mean things. So mean that they had to actually address it on the show. But they only did that to Jimin.

to answer your questions no/no. it never occurred to me to ever send anyone mean tweets because what's the point? they could block you and move on with their day. and i havent been in a "fandom" since 2010. its not for me and i dont get why fandoms turn ppl off from an artist. just ignore them.

I guess it's more of not wanting to be associated with a certain fandom than really being turned off of the artist(s) themselves. Like, I didn't want to get into Doctor Who because the fandom on Tumblr were over the top. (but also, I tried watching an ep and was just not into it and didn't get why the fandom is that crazy)

the hosts on this show are annoying to me (i haven't even been able to finish my fav groups' episodes) but jimin seemed to be trying to keep things rolling which i can't blame her for. i know she's close with got7 but sometimes she does come off a little rude, i can see why viewers who don't know about their relationship might feel awkward. but got7 was getting on my nerves in some parts so i can't blame her for getting a little annoyed

honestly she can be annoying, and even more so when the guests are good friends of hers. but she definitely doesn't deserve to get all the hate thrown at her, especially when she was just trying to get the job done.

i love got7 and they're usually great on asc, but this was the first time that their ep stressed me tf out. haha so the way the hosts had to handle them felt completely reasonable.

ASC always runs short of time, even if the guest is co operative and the last few minutes are always rushed. GOT7 members can be really disruptive and rowdy, so of course Jimin would have to qiuet them down. They've been that way every time, and it's always been up to Jimin to control them. Can't believe idiot fans would send her hate for that. It broke my heart when she was apologizing, she looked pretty upset. And when she said "I mean, it was not as mean as I thought cause I got a lot of messages last week..." She's just 19 :'(

It's interesting cause there was an episode that Jae and YoungK hosted by themselves where they didn't really rush, but they ended up skipping quite a few hangouts, which they just apologized for at the end (and gave prizes to or something.) And I felt that that was a pretty okay way for them to manage it. Instead of trying to get all the segments and all the hangouts in, or rush the last few hangouts, just skip them and give compensation for the fans' time.

Ahgases are annoying the hell out of me lately. I'm happy that the boys are getting much more love but I miss when the fandom was smaller and there wasn't so much crazy fans.
I follow closely only two fandoms: Onces (Twice) and ahgases (GOT7). People say Twice's fandom is awful and I used to agree, but as I get more into it the more I feel like the bad ones are only the obvious trolls (but yeah there is a lot of those) and the ones who don't know when they are crossing the line when they are defending the girls from the OTT hate. But for ahgases is a thousand times worst because the ones you less expect it end up doing and saying the dumbest things. They go on rants about absolutely everything and they are never happy and keep using the excuse that they are thinking the best for their idols when they are just mad things don't go exactly the way they want. *sigh* Sorry for the rant, but this fandom has burnt me this last comeback.

It has never make me dislike a group, but it absolutely makes not want to pay as much attention.
I like some songs from BTS and I think Jimin is adorable but I have no intention at all to pay more attention to them than just listen to the songs they release because everytime I see an Army rant about how BTS is changing kpop in posts about other idols makes me rme to infinity and beyond.
Similar with Blackpink, the girls are so cute and I liked a lot their debut but jesus! the fans went crazy really fast O_O But with them I do plan to follow the group closer and see the shows they are on (if YG lets them ever go to one), but I will probably only look at the updates of them here and not in other places to avoid the stans.

1. Nope, why use energy on things I dislike when I could spend more energy on things I do.
2. Yes in my earlier kpop fandom days, but for the past couple years since I'm not active on Twitter/Tumblr (where the majority of obnoxious fandom things happen imo) I don't really see much of it. I've also learned over my time in the kpop fandom, that literally every. single. fandom. has crazy/obnoxious stans, so to punish the artist for that seems wrong, and the bigger the fandom, the higher that number of annoying stans there will be.

I didn't watch the mean tweets segment because I had a feeling it would go wrong...don't get why they thought it was a good idea. I like Jimin most of the time but she does have her blunt moments which can be taken the wrong way.

As for me I don't have a Twitter so I couldn't send hate even if I wanted to. With that being said I've never felt the need to. Even as a black Kpop fan when idols say anti-black stuff I still don't feel the need to tweet them hateful messages and sort of feel embarrass when I hear about it. I feel like we'd be more affective if the fandom wrote letters the company rather than tweet idols rude comments. Or even wrote a letter all together on Twitter and tagged the idol in it...if that's how Twitter works lol. But yeah I can't stand most Kpop idol fandoms. I'm an inspirit and we are pretty chilled so that's the only fandom I deal with. Igot7s really pissed me off after the bambam thing and army's/exo-Ls always annoy me.

I'm personally not a fan of Jimin's MC style but the hate she gets just because she's doing her job in keeping the show together and running while Got7 are messing around is just ridiculous.

Usually I'd agree, but this video comes from a Jimin fanpage on youtube that edits a highlight reel thing of her for each episode and adds his/her own edits.

I actually liked one edit when Jackson and Jimin pretty much do a Freaky Friday-style switch and this person adds effects.

1. Nope. Not even when I got into kpop many many years back and I was waaay younger, back then it was so weird to even think of them acknowledging foreign fans hmmm. I basically tweet kpop idols I follow in Spanish so it's very ironically-tweeting (? lol).
