HEY OMONA! Seeing as the last census survey conducted on here was done in 2013!!, we figured it's about time to do another one. Presenting:

The Omona Census Survey of 2016
Anyone reading this post is welcome to take the survey, be you member, non-member, or lurker. We are curious to know more about all of our lovely Omonians and readers. We've also included a question regarding your thoughts on what you would like to see more of & on what ways you feel omonatheydidnt can improve. It's completely anonymous and we won't know who answered it, but please try your best to be honest.

This will be pinned for 24 hours and will be up on the sidebar and answerable until October 15. Results will be posted after that.

Not a question but a suggestion.. Omona should expand and allow Asian entertainment posts. It would be nice to have an active community to discuss Fan Bingbing's looks, or Krishantao's activities, or Utada's latest album, etc among other things. A lot of us have widened our horizons and are also interested in entertainment that isn't just from Korea or actors and artists that aren't just Korean. It's weird to be picky about this and if the argument is "this isn't relevant to the interest of the community" then it's not really valid when a lot of posts about certain groups or people are accepted when they get 1-2 comments at most because majority of the comm doesn't care. Korean, Chinese, and Japanese entertainment are also so inter-connected right now that it's silly to be rigid and stubborn about "Korean-only" posts.

A poll would be nice too if this is something that you feel everyone should decide on.

I love the Omona census! I'll be interested to compare results between the years. I thinking the percentage males might go up, because it seems more males have been into kpop lately. I also am curious to see if the average age has changed at all, because some of us have gotten older and stayed so has the average gone up or have enough of us old farts left the kpop scene to keep it the same?

I don't think my suggestions are very plausible but I sent them anyway (ik it's anon but it seems obvious what I wrote lmao). I don't really have a lot of complaints, I'm pleasantly surprised how civil the comments are 99% of the time - even the handful of trolls often get ignored! A lot of kpop comms have a really negative atmosphere to me, so I actually don't mind having a smaller active community if it means the members are nicer :)

I have a honest question that i hope it doesn't sound dumb/offensive/idk, but it's something that always make me think.

Soooooo I'm white, i see myself as white, i know i have white privileged and everything, i check myself as white whenever there is some census/quiz/something in my country without thinking twice. But when I do the same in internationally i get a little confused. I'm not from europe, north america or whatever, i'm from brazil, south america, and i have been told that i'm not white, but latina and "treated" as such. I don't understand, I mean.... In this census with latina there was hispanic and so, maybe, it's expected for someone who speaks spanish and """"""looks latino""""" to check that??
I hope it makes sense and i'm not being stupid, but it really is something that makes me confused ):
