I usually love them on ASC, but this ep was so messy! I was exhausted for the hosts. Fans on twitter complained about the show not giving the boys enough time, but honestly, they ate all of that up themselves being really hyper today. lol
Was it cause they're overly familiar with the hosts? Who hard carried this ep?

Eric Nam is the only one who can control them and run this show along on time. I get that the segments are there to make sure they have enough content for an hour but for this group, maybe they can cut back on a few. Some of the requests took longer time too.

That #GOT7_Why segment pisses me off because there were a lot more interesting questions asked on twitter but all we saw was OTP stuff. I was cringing and curling in my seat.

I recently tried to watch some shows without Eric and it is not the same at all. I can seem to get used to the new hosts (even though they aren't even new anymore)

They were more hyper today than their last appearance. But I also agree, I think because they're friends with Jae & Kevin and close to Jimin there wasn't really an authority figure among the hosts, which Eric was for them. Kevin isn't loud enough, so Jimin had to do the most wrangling. She got so much hate on twitter for it unfortunately..

The Infinite episode had just as many segments and went smoothly, maybe the ASC writers just have to learn how to tailor their eps specifically for GOT7. haha

i haven't watched yet cause the US link isn't up, but WHAT? what's going on at ASC these days lmao?? infinite's ep was HILARIOUS and they're usually really awkward on that show, and now GOT7, whose usually excellent on ASC, was a mess?? eric leaving fucked everything up haha

haha well it wasn't not funny cause they're always pretty funny. it's just that towards the end they were running out of time and had more segments/fans left, so you could feel the hosts getting stressed. and I'm highly empathic, so I was getting stressed!

I really like Jae being on Asc because I am bias to be honest but he does have a lot of improvement. Having Eric on the show was a lot more organized however sometimes I felt like I was watching Disney/middle school programming cuz he sort of treats idols like they are not in their late teens early 20's and maybe it's cuz he's older so he does see them that way but I sometimes cringed at the way he would talk to idols and introduce segments. Jae sort got rid of some of that. Anyways I haven't watched got7s episode yet, I usually enjoy their episodes but I'm still bitter about what happened in la. I'll probably watch it eventually though, I can see it being a mess cuz I know Jae use to watch Asc when got7 would guest star on the show so him as a host now he probably lets them do what they want. I feel like they got away with enough last time with bambams dick joke, they probably don't really
take their time on the show seriously.

Bambam toned down compared to their last ASC appearance, it's just that everybody seemed like they got a lot of sugar and coffee before the show started, especially Mark. They're just really comfortable with the hosts and even the people backstage. They were invited to ASC like the day after they debuted so they have a special fondness for it. They have been back every promotions, and Mark and Jackson even had special Markson shows for a while.

haha It went exactly how you imagined it going. Jae also just got back from their Hong Kong show and looked like he wasn't feeling well, so he wasn't as 'on' as he usually is.

And I agree, Eric's hosting style was very Disney afternoon kids show OTT. Jae's humor is just as embarrassing and self depreciating, but he knows when to rein it in and not make people (i.e me) cringe too much.

It really doesn't help that Mark has like an 'on' switch when it comes to ASC lol, it tips the balance to the chaotic side. They were like a bunch of puppies running around chasing each other's tails, I was exhausted for the MCs just but watching .

I think the best way to control them without Eric around would be to make one of the members a special MC or cut back on the content a lot. They get really into the segments and it eats up time.
