Omona, has your love of K-pop inspired you to study Korean at all? Do you think foreign fans should learn the basics, at the very least?

Alternatively, do you ever get frustrated by the langauge barrier between you & your faves (assuming they only speak Korean)?

eurocentric? lol for some reason i always assume the eng pls people to come from countries where english is the main language.

thinking about it, there are times when eurocentrism makes me roll my eyes, but it's not the eng pls.
it's like when people demand idols to go to their random obscure european country, and complain when the idols go to the neighboring country that is like 100km away.... then i flip and tell people to drive/fly/take the train/walk lol (i'm also from a random small country in europe:D)

I used to ignore the "eng pls" comments, but it's become excessive in the past two years.

I get what you mean, whenever an idol is in Europe and posts photos, there are hundreds of comments asking him/her to come to some random city in Europe. I live in Europe, too and would appreciate it, if more groups would come close to my city, but so many fans come off as entitled with their demands.

Just like you said, if they really want to see their bias, then they should make an effort to see them. My guess is that the majority of them are young teenagers, who aren't allowed to travel alone or they don't have money. These kiddos need to learn to wait and save money.
