I'm legitimately curious as to what songs she's going to perform seeing as she only really has 2 English singles.
UPDATE: Apparently she'll be performing new stuff too!
Will you be going, US/Canada based Omonans?

maybe she'll sing some 2ne1 songs? I'm as confused as you op, but at least she's actually....performing in the US now?

I feel like prices are still way too steep for 90 min. All of the kpop concerts I've been to before with that price range were 2-3 hour performances... Doesn't matter for me anyways, I'll be out of town the weekend she performs near me. :(

I might make the Seattle show.
I'm also curious about what songs she'll perform

I would probs go to the seattle show but I won't be home then and there's nothing in boston...
I always have bad timing for stuff like this

$75-95 seems steep for general admission :/ but I'll probably go

Want to see her perform but not for $100 cdn, lmao. I can see groups I like way more, for way less. >_>
And I hate the location of Sound Academy so much... -_-; tho everyone performs there, so. alsdjflsdf.

idk why they're pricing this like a kpop concert. I feel like $20-35 is more reasonable, especially if people don't know who she is...

but i'mma still try to go if there are new songs.

I don't know about the other cities, but for the Seattle stop I would have assumed at least $50 to start like Epik High. Then again, 2NE1 probably has a much bigger fanbase here than EH did, and EH sold so fast they got moved to a bigger venue.

there is no reason why she shouldn't have at the very least an EP out to promote with this tour instead of someone promising new material on twitter... and those prices... who tf is deciding these things?

From: [identity profile] jileader.livejournal.com
Does this mean she'll be releasing new material before the tour? Or maybe during it?

god... two years ago this would have been a dream come true, but with everything she's done and put out since then... man i really miss the days of being a 2ne1 stan.

The tickets are very expensive (from 75 to 300$). She's a beginner as a solo act, they should have put more affordable prices...

Seems kind of risky move considering those prices and lack of released solo material. CL should probably release a set list if she doesn't want to cancel most of the concerts due to poor ticket sales.

Girl, not with those prices. I paid less to see artists who've performed in the SAME place who are way more well known in the US.

YGE back at it again with ass backwards promotions. How do they expect her to go on tour with no new material and only promises of new material. What's her setlist gonna be? And these prices...better known artists have played in these venues for less. I can't with this company. I just can't. They are the definition of the expectation-reality gap. They've built her up as this big success in their minds so they expect her to succeed with subpar management but the reality is how the hell do you have a tour when you've barely even "debuted"?????? I say this not to knock CL, but rather YGE because it burns how often they shaft her and the rest of their artists with these bizarre promotion tactics that eventually never pan out. She's gonna end up cancelling half these dates when no one buys tickets and then posting some weak af apology/promise on twitter talking about: "I'll make it up to ya'll." When? The ironic thing is, I bet you she does have a ton of old material recorded over the years; probably enough material to release an album and officially debut instead of this half assed will-she-won't-she nonsense.

met, yg lives in a parallel universe of how own, where no one needs promos, variety shows, balanced schedules, promises that are kept... he should get money just because he's so awesome, DUH

I agree that these prices are ridiculous. I understand when kpop groups/solos came to the US and charge ridiculous money, because they know kpop stans are crazy and will pay that much, but if CL is making a legitimate go at the general US public, she's gonna have to scale back. The only people willing to pay those prices are going to be people who already are big fans of hers so it loses a lot of its effect as a promo tactic.

I hate that this is so true it's warped my sense of inexpensive/expensive for kpop concerts. I've paid less to see Florence and the Machine, Adele, Beyonce (good seats too) than I have to see Exo, BTS, GOT7. Now if I see $180–200 tier tix for kpop I'm like ohhh that's not bad. wtf it's ridiculous

I know, kpop concerts are ridiculous!! I've spent embarrassing amounts of money to see some kpop groups and/or get VIP tickets, and it's even worse because I literally flew to another city in two cases to see them -_-. Meanwhile, I saw Fall Out Boy and Paramore on tour together for $60...

Exactly. She isn't expanding her audience since only her fans/Kpop fans are willing to drop that kind of coin on her.

THIS so much. Crush is having his (smaller) tour at roughly the same time/towards the end of CL's (the two are literally on back to back nights for Chicago) and his tickets were $50 for GA and $100 for VIP.

Like no. I'm not spending roughly the same amount for a CL nosebleed...especially not with the shows being on back to back nights (though that would be wild).

I mean do I really want to pay like nearly a dollar a minute for a show, not including traveling 4 hours to LA?

I mean probably.

lollll every kpop fan's dilemma. i think i spent like $300 to see 2ne1 in LA because of travel (i lived in the bay area), hotel, and the actual ticket. but it was worth it.

even if i wanted to see her, i wouldn't pay that much for GA tickets. i've never even paid that much for a western act lmao

How big are these venues? I'm wondering if she'll be able to fill them at these prices.

Also all this expensive kpop talk is making me feel bad about myself lol T__T I paid 300+ bucks cold to see Big Bang for their Alive tour, I wasn't sure if they'd be coming back to the US ever
