I'd really like to see 1:31 am and Higher get an actual album release. They probably will go with a darker concept this time because of the theme; they seem to be moving toward a more mature image for GOT7 which I think fits where they are now. Hopefully we'll get more self-composed songs like on Departure.

Why is everyone acting like this is something new with JYPE or any company? (I'm talking more about the reactions of people in twitter not here).
Every group usually promotes for three weeks, and sometimes in the last week groups for the same company overlap because at that time it doesn't make much difference. 2PM are doing now their radio shows and I guess next week they will go to music shows.
The company has been having comeback after comeback for their groups/solists, Jun.K included (did people already forgot Jun.K korean solo and Junho tour in Japan?). It's not like they have much time to expend on everything without overlapping, so I don't know what exactly people want or expect.

I'm saying this because as a fan of both groups I'm kind of annoyed because I barely saw hottest talking about 2PM new album and shows and suddenly that I see them come alive again it's to complain.

I don't know and I'm not mad but maybe because this is potentially 2pm's last comeback as ot6 for a long time? Idek if that's the plan but that seems to be what people are suggesting so I can see why they would want it to be a proper comeback where they promote for a decent amount of time without much overlap.

But I'm also a fan of both and can see how this can be logistically difficult with all the schedules going on so yeah.

I'm pretty sure part of the problem is me. That I got into kpop to have fun and fandoms are too much to me a lot of the time. I had the feel with 2PM comeback that when something come out people did got excited but only for a moment, but when it comes to complain they let all out, and I'm kind of let down more with the fandom than the promotions lol

This is their last comeback as 6 until around 2020,  but at the same time 2PM and Got7 are in different points of their career and for 2PM doesn't make much sense to focus on music shows and wins anymore and it's better to let them grow as artists. In fact, I think that's what them and the company is doing and what they want. So personally I feel like the two groups overlapping doesn't affect them much. They both can do their thing without stealing each other attention, if the fandoms knew how to deal with it.

I'm going to try to enjoy both comebacks and forget all the negativity.

Nah don't apologise, I totally get it. I'm not bothered by them promoting at the same time, I just hope 2pm promotes for a decent amount of time after the ridiculously short comeback with the mv drama last time. I stay away from fandom stuff generally though for a reason lol so I'm not surprised you're frustrated by it.

I definitely agree that for 2pm it's about growing as artists and I think they're doing that amazingly well so I'm perfectly happy. I guess I can also see why people are apprehensive but that doesn't extend to the ones who are being crazy ott in their reactions. After everything that happened in the US though, I kind of wanted Got7 to take a longer break and (certain members at least) to hopefully learn some things and show that they were taking responsibility for their actions but it's kpop so Idk why I would think that would happen lol

Same though, I'm just going to try to enjoy both (hoping Got7 gets a good song) and maybe we'll get some cute interactions.
