I love this so effin much omfg it's perfect, QUEEEN.
The song/mv is apparently about Gain being dead and her soul wanting to enjoy their 'last day', the old man in the video
that then appears younger, is the husband. The video shows a young Gain reminiscing about her youth with her husband on her 'last day'.
Brent Fischer, a Grammy Award winning producer and arranger,
wrote the horn arrangement for Gain’s carnival!

i LOVE IT (although i wish i didn't read the yt comments, people are always so ignorant on there)



it sounded so theatrical, kind of similar to the red shoes but it had such a fantasy vibe to it
her outfits were gorgeous, i loved the little tutu additions to the leotards, they were so tastefully done, sexy yet classy
gain continues to reign with her immortality, and i hope she never grows her hair out
she is a true artist, her music and videos always have a real meaning to them, and i enjoy every single release from her

The song will have to grow on me a little, I'm not as immediately enamoured with it as I was with for example Paradise Lost. But I don't doubt that it will grow on me, already hear parts in it that stuck out to me.

The MV is so visually stunning, those shots with the fireworks were amazing! The outfits are all super cute.
I'm sure as I come back and watch it again I'll be able to glean some more meaning from the MV, because you know with Gain it's there, but right now my brain is fried.

It isn't doing well in the charts, it was 16 on Melon but now it dropped to 64.
But it's #3-6 in realtime charts of some sites.

Beautiful visuals, gorgeous queen. I think they could have milked the concept more, shown more scenes of her enjoying the things she loved in life and shown what kind of person she was, but it's still pretty. The shot where she spun under the fireworks gave me chills.

The song's not my usual taste but I like it, very theatrical.

LOVE how the narrative jumps from the first day she met her husband/lover, in Carrie, to the last day, in Carnival, at her funeral. It's a little bittersweet, but also joyful, so good! I can't wait to see the live performances, Gain never fails to impress with trying something new - from music to dance (｡’▽’｡)♡

I can definitely get the comparison to IU's Red Shoes, the songs are stylistically similar with a Musical feel to them. Not a favourite title of mine, but still like it a lot.

This mv was beautiful! The colors needed to be a bit more vibrant and her vocals didn't seem to quite fit with the song but the story and visuals were just stunning.

MY QUEEN

The video sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. She looks really white in this video, which was at times a little hard to get over, but she looks gorgeous in everything she wears and never trashy. Once I figured out/read the explanation of the video (the beginning was jarring) I admit I teared up at the end. The song doesn't stick with me like Bloom did. On to the listening post!

This was definitely similar to bloom aesthetics wise and again using iu's composer too. I prefer gains voice though to iu's, so give her all of iu's old timey songs to cover lol. I wish the song had more of a direction though. It had really great orchestral parts and others were plain. The filter on the mv was too bright too. She looked grey in some parts. And she's really skinny again this comeback. I miss how she was during paradise lost. The scenery and story were beautiful overall though. Hoping her album has better songs

I really like both the song and the MV. I read the plot before watching it, so I actually got teary almost right in the beginning. This idea of trying to go through the sweetest and happiest moments of her life on the last day really got me.
One thing I'm concerned about is how she's going to survive through this song during live stages, because the tempo is crazy. If she nails it, I'm gonna be really envious of her lung capacity lol.

okay. i listened to this in the morning and just finished giving the second/third listen to it.

aside from her voice being almost drowned in a very amazing instrumental in this song, ga in's voice couldn't really deliver notes in lower pitch and it happens several times and it is enough to bug me.

i would probably really love the song if the song is sung by different person who is able to register both the high pitch and low pitch nicely.

(comparison w/ iu's red shoes. iu's voice in red shoes isn't being drowned in instrumental (idk if the issue is in the producer/composer or singer, honestly) and it meshes nicely also she's able to both cover high and lower pitch of the song)

Gain's lower range is really weak and a lot of the dramatic points in this song rely on it. The song itself is quite badly produced, because the instrumental is lovely but Gain's vocals are competing with it. Not to mention, it's quite an atrocious melody lol. She looks lovely, but I really am not feeling this.
