I was expecting something quirkier...somewhat similar to The Red, which had just the right amount of cute. On the bright side, ig SM picked the correct song to be the title track for once lol

i really love russian roulette ;--; it's fun and catchy and i'm kinda glad they didn't put a rap break on it, it's great like this.
lucky girl and bad dracula are sooooo good!! the whole album is very musical-like. all the songs link up nicely. but these are my faves
sunny afternoon is a good elevator song. it drags on a bit too long tbh
fool is.. there. it's a nice song, it doesn't really stand out to me
some love is GOOD. this should have come out months ago and it would have been the best summer song
my dear is really nice, it does feel like day one part 2. it has that animation feel to it. so happy to have more red velvet music to listen to

the title track is a grower and the lalala is stuck in my head! can't wait to see the choreo. i spotted fresh bruises on joy's legs when the girls did the live broadcast on v. i wonder if they go hard on the dance like for dumb dumb
this ep reminds me of icc, all songs are on the cutesy side. some love is going to be my new jam!!

the album was cuter than the red but a lot better than icc, the songs were great for the girls' voices

i love everything about russian roulette it can do no wrong in my eyes
lucky girl feels like a tts track but it was cute once you get rid of the annoying sound effects
bad dracula is really cute i like the 8bit ambiance plus it seems like it would have a fun choreo
sunny afternoon is one of my faves, i love any song that sounds like the 'velvet' side of rv (automatic, time slip, be natural) and the song really shows off how nice their voices are & it sounds so 90s
im sorry but i skipped all of fool once i heard the beginning :/ wendy's voice is too deep to sing a song like that without sounding out of place...joy sounds great tho
3 seconds into some love and i already like it the most out of all the songs on the album
my dear is a gorgeous song, so chill and synthpop-y

I feel like it should have been released in July instead of September. It's really cute and summer-like. It doesn't top The Red for me but it's really enjoyable and fit well in their discography.
The "heartbeat beat beat" part in Russian Roulette is really catchy, and with each play I like it even more. It doesn't grab the listener immediatly like ICC/DD but there are a lot of cool elements to keep going back to it.
I really like Bad Dracula and Some Love, Sunny Afternoon and Lucky Girl are nice too!
I don't really like Fool. It's all right I guess. My Dear isn't what I was expecting from a middle-tempo or ending track but it's fine, and totally the follow-up of Day 1.

Just starting my listen through and imo it kind of sounds like it could have been a video game ost. It's definitely more cutesy than The Red but I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I think it's definitely more public/radio-friendly than their other releases though.

Some Love is the best track by far. I would've loved it as a title track. The Red was such an outstanding album, so I don't really get this in continuity. It's a downgrade.

this is the first full mini/album i've actually ever liked by red velvet (i normally adore their titles but find their album tracks too quirky/childish) but i really like this one! bad dracula could've been a single all on it's own. i wonder what they'll promote with russian roulette? i'm assuming one of the slower/calmer songs so maybe fool or sunny afternoon?
there's a lot less rapping which pleases me and it blends really well.

I really did, I was hoping I would be jamming to it until SHINee's comeback, but alas, nope.

Besides RR and Some Love, I couldn't give a shit about the rest of the album. And even RR and Some Love probably won't get much play from me. This is still better than their last release (imo) - but idk, I'm just not caring for the direction they're taking them in I guess?
