The songs this week are so good and I WANT TO DANCE TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Every week I go through the different charts for this Friday and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going to check out what topped the charts for the 1st Friday of September, 2009.

#3 Baek Ji Young featuring Taecyeon “My Ear’s Candy”
Ahhhh so fun!!! I’m pretty sure that this song has been covered by every variety show in the past 7 years, lol. “WO AI NI TE QUIERO” will go down as some of the best KPop lyrics ever.

#2 4Minute “Muzik”
Look at the babies! I can’t remember if I liked this song. I do remember the chorus and the choreography, though. I still really like the chorus, it’s fun.

#1 G-Dragon “Heartbreaker”
This isn’t my favorite song or MV off the album, but seeing him do this for the 10 year anniversary tickled my heart. I still hate his hair here. Probably one of my least favorite GD hairstyles in the entire immense history of GD hairstyles. Anywho, I’ve always loved the choreo for this song.

Honorable Mentions

#5 Jewerly “Vari2ty”
If I remember correctly, this was the last release before the last two original members left. I think they all look super pretty in this MV, and I think I remember being scandalized at that part in the choreo with the hands in between the male dancers’ legs lol. And Baby J with that high kick!

#6 Brown Eyed Girls “Abracadabra”
THIS SONG/MV IS STILL ONE OF THE BESTEST THINGS TO HAVE EVER HAPPENED EVER. I literally just watched this four times in a row and I screamed every time the music started up. Blessed to have been a witness to this iconic Abracadabra era.

I love how JYP is basically a call-to place when BJY need to perform that song, Taec aside we got Chansung, JB and Jackson&JB versions. Then there's also K.Will's version and LSG's one stucked in my memory when he had that weired fur thing on his shoulder lol

What a fun roundup! For once I remember every single one of these songs.

Baek Ji Young and Taecyeon look so shiny in that video, I especially love the matching metallic lipstick.

God Heartbreaker takes me back, to think there was a time G-Dragon's name didn't immediately make me roll my eyes. While Heartbreaker wasn't my favourite from that album either (that honor goes to A Boy) I still remember loving it so much. That vest made out of mirror-shards was like the coolest thing I had ever seen.

Yeah, it's my favourite song by him too. I've liked some of his other solo ventures, but that first album was definitely the one I enjoyed the most.

A Boy used to be one of the most played songs on my iPod, so it would probably land pretty high on my list of favourite kpop songs overall.
