Poor Jackson; even aside from the sasaengs thing (which, ugh, WHY), when was the last time he got a break? He seems to be working and flying and working and flying nonstop. ;_; I hope the injury isn't serious and that he'll get well soon.

MTE he keeps telling everyone to take care of their health but he himself is overworked (and excessive flying takes its toll as well) and now they've got a comeback right around the corner, he literally can't catch a break ;__;

Makes me want to sit him down in a comfy chair, tug him in a warm blanket with a cup of green tea and tell him to take a rest. Someone do that to him please.

this is so scary and it could rly happen to anyone
i'm rly just so mad and tired, people really don't care what happens to idols. like i cannot wrap my brain around why people would act so recklessly in a CAR when ppl die everyday from smaller distractions/accidents and these sasaengs and their taxis drive so dangerously all the time for no reason

i'm glad jackson doesn't seem to be seriously injured but i'll be waiting to see what jyp has to say after he gets checked out at the hospital

I remember something similar happening to Junsu forever ago and it seems like nothing has changed. Anyone know if it's worse or better these days? Or if companies have managed to get any help from authorities for this stuff? I'm sure it's tricky, but I'd hate to think it's a totally unsolvable problem.

Sasaengs make me rage.

I don't know about Korea, but with the popularity of kpop in China. It seemed they also spreads the sasaeng culture to them, sasaeng taxis especially are the worst. Last time Luhan had a verbal exchanges with them when they tried to do the same thing with him. He scolded the taxi while the sasaengs records him while inside the taxi... >_> . If you think laws in Korea is bad, China's are worst, in other words, they just don't care. Unless it gets too much then the government will attempts to regulates by banning imports of Korean pop culture, ala the endless updates of SARFT to prevent all sorts of genres in entertainment. Like banning time travel dramas because after Bu Bu Jing Xin, many commits suicides in an attempt to 'travel back in time'.

So if sasaeng situation increases, they might do something similarly.

Ugh. That's exactly what concerns me. The sasaengs truly disrupt the relative safety and function of roadways, businesses, airports, etc. They aren't just risking injury or death for themselves and the idols. It affects everyone around them to. This is where I feel the law needs to step in much more heavily than they seem to be doing now.

It makes sense that these behaviors would spread to China and be even more extreme. And it sucks that such behavior ruins it for everyone who is a decent and well-behaved fan.

That's terrifying about the suicides too. Yikes!
Entertainment should not be driving people to do crazy irrational things!

Omg this is so scary ;~;
I hope it's just an aftermath of the shock, once I had this kind of accident and my neck was completely tense and blocked for a few days but nothing serious. Back problems can be so painful. I hope JYP won't rush him to perform and dance before he's healed...
Saesangs could have been seriously hurt too. I know they're obsessed but they're risking so many lives acting like that...

I THOUGHT THIS WAS IN CHINA. OOPS.

Ugh, this is what I fear most seeing him working in China. With his popularity increasing, sasaeng will increase. Those chinese sasaengs are the worst. And even more the sasaeng taxi culture.

I hopes and prays that his injury isn't serious.

Wait... this is in China... Xiamen airport... >_> ugh, chinese sasaengs are hardcore.

wooow O_O
The first thing I thought of after reading this is how much he cares for fans to later see them not respect him and do things like this *sigh*

I saw the pics of him at the airport yesterday just before going to bed and I thought it was because of 'Fighting Man', but now I wake up and see is because of saesangs... ugh! It's really scary how dangerous they can be.

oh, i hope he's ok/gets enough time to recover and gets some rest from all the activities he seems to be doing lately.

a lot of companies and sometimes also idols are speaking out against sasaeng fans which i think is great, but sometimes i feel stricter action needs to be taken (like restraining orders? is that a thing/possible?). also, although i think it's nice that kpop idols are so appreciative towards their fans, i think esp boy groups should stop this whole 'all my fans are my girlfriends!!' culture and start setting boundaries, because this might be reinforcing sasaeng behaviour (i'm not trying to say that idols are to blame, but certain actions might strengthen certain fan entitlement)

It needs to change for sure. I mean a big part of why idols were made was absolutely to be the 'girlfriends' and 'boyfriends' of fans in this genre. I believe that should be done away with. Never should've started tbh. It is actually quite gross really and was/is an attempt by these companies to control and manipulate younger kids by means of emotion and infatuation.

yeah and esp with the expansion of social media fans feel even closer to their idols and can follow idols almost every step they take - stalking and invading personal space has become easier and easier. i also agree that the whole boyfriend/girlfriend strategy was definitely created by entertainment companies to manufacture the closest possible relationship between idols and fans, and is targeted at kids who are still developing emotionally and socially and might not yet have the strongest sense of reality, leading easily into unacceptable behavior. but many sasaengs are grown ass adults who you would think should know better... companies have to take strict measures against them and idols themselves have to speak out to show that to behave like that is not supporting idols

/sorry for the rant this kind of stuff just makes me really angry

this is awful.

"however, we wish that everyone would express their love for the artist in an appropriate manner"

they need to stop calling it "love." this isn't what you do when you love someone. jype shouldn't be diplomatic in their language about people who actively put their artists in danger.
